We are all full after and the Extra Spicy seafood Cajun flavor is really good if you like real spicy . A little advice if you get this flavor better not to put sausage coz they are thinly slice and it overpowered the flavor. We will come back again.

My son and I went into the restaurant. The hostess was friendly but never smiled I asked about the Mongolian Bowl and she just kind of wrote me off and sat us down. The server was very good but again never smiled. They served us our hush puppies which were absolutely fantastic! I ordered the oyster basket and my son ordered the fish basket. The fish were pretty good the oysters were but we’re better than seasoned differently than what you would expect at a Cajun restaurant. The oysters batter was a little chunky and hard but they did cook my oyster soft as requested. French fries were very generic but called Cajun. There was a server or busser standing by the kitchen doors eating which should be done in a break room somewhere , and then grabbed paper to cover a table with which is not very sanitary . Another server checked on us which was really cool and he did smile. What bothers me was that he was wearing his jacket but had a marijuana leaf on the back. I didn’t think that was very professional. So if he took off the jacket, the other servers could learn a thing or two from him as he stayed busy he was constantly running he never stood still, and he actually smiled and was very friendly. He was absolutely . None the other employees thought to say anything or smile. But their service was good. The 5:15 rule would probably help with facility. And also would have been nice if they would have remoulade sauce if they’re going to call it Cajun. I am from Louisiana and expected a bit more, however for a restaurant in Alabama I’d say it was pretty decent. But I will go back to try the Mongolian Stir Fry. And I will also order the hush puppies again. I gave it a four because I was expecting a little more with it being called Cajun. And a little disappointed in the friendliness of the staff. Overall I would say that it’s worth going to try especially if you’re from Alabama because the food isn’t as highly seasoned as it would be in Louisiana. Except for the hush puppies, they were absolutely amazing!

So fried shrimp salty, spring rolls tasted like dough and ordered the wrong food for my husband. Water tasted like it was tap water, not very pleased at. And no cocktail sauce.

I had a great experience at The Sizzling Claw!
The restaurant has a clean and stylish interior with eye-catching décor and a fun, energetic atmosphere. It feels spacious, bright, and very welcoming.
The food is fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The seafood boils come out hot and tasty, and the fried items are crispy without being too oily. Portion sizes are generous, and everything tastes like it’s made with care.
The service is also excellent — the staff are friendly, patient, and attentive, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. They check on the table often but never make you feel rushed.
Overall, it’s a great place for friends, families, or anyone who wants good seafood in a relaxed, lively environment. Definitely worth coming back!

It’s hard to find a GREAT seafood place that’s not overpriced so I was very surprised when I tried this and it was perfect. The food was very good quality, the crab’s seasoning was perfect but more importantly the crab meat slid out of the shell perfectly so it was cooked the right way (not too much like the juicy crab). The restaurant was very clean and they gave it an upscale lift from when it was the Mongolian place. I will 100% be making this a regular place to visit. The price is also relatively good as well, especially for the quality. The staff were VERY nice btw.

I had the Thursday special at the mild spice level with Old Bay seasoning and garlic butter sauce. It was hot and fresh. The crab slid right out when cracked and whoever is cooking in that kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing because this was some of the best seafood I’ve had since I lived in Maryland. Gabrielle was my waitress and her service was awesome. Attentive without hovering and very polite. I’m definitely coming back again with friends and family!

the food was meh at best.. the fried food was pretty good, just not seasoned.. i understand there is salt and pepper at the table but it could use more seasoning on the batter..(fried catfish and fried shrimp).. the fries were amazing but still the same complaint is that it didnt have enough seasoning.. i got the seafood boil with 2 eggs crawfish shrimp, crab legs mild sauce and potatoes… the eggs and potatoes were good as expected but the crawfish just tasted like it wasnt cooked in seasoned broth… it just tasted bland, the shrimp was good (it tasted like the sauce) and the crab legs (although hard to eat because of user error) were sweet WHEN i could get a few nibbles on them and good as crab legs SHOULD be.. the sauce was very tasty, and the to go cups were cheaply made and the lids dont seem to fit on the cup nicely, and since the cup is cheaply made it expands till eventually the cup lid doesnt fit anymore like it should and keeps falling off.. the straws were cheap and thin, but still worked as intended obviously.. the atmosphere was amazing and the whole shendig of it coming in a bag and like getting gloves and an apron.. the whole experience was AMAZING.. the service was very good, the guy who served us was very nice…. although we came on a tuesday night it wasnt very packed, and that could be due to it not being packed BUT the food came out swiftly… we barely waited for our food which is a huge +… overall i would recommend it for a first try, and if your into the whole seafood boil kinda thing then it is a good choice… BUT honestly the food was meh.. and it was mediocre at best.. i should say that it was 50 percent good and 50 percent bad as i said in the first part of the review…
AND sidenote… the chairs are AWFUL.. the wood boarded chairs hurt my back and it sadly made the whole experience very annoying to sit down and very hard to enjoy my meal as my back was being dug into by the boards that the booths are made of… that ALONE would be enough to make me not recommend it to someone, but the food was pretty good honestly…
to sum up the review. some of the food was good and some was bland.. the chairs are awful, but the service was good, the experience was good, and the food was kinda good.. i will say that i am FAR from a food critique, and mcdonalds is good to me, everything is good to me.. so take my review with a grain of salt, but if I thought it was bland then you know something is wrong.. i dont mean to be mean, but if you guys just put seasoning in the batter, and put seasoning on the fries it would be AMAZING.. the food was PERFECTLY cooked.. idk if it was frozen or not, and honestly i dont care if it was or not because it was cooked very nicely.. but it could just use some seasonings thats all.. 🙂
