The Simpson complements Brooklyn’s new restaurant age from Williamsburg to Prospect Park, by offering a seafood friendly Caribbean/Soul Food cuisine and an inspired Classic Cocktail menu infused with the nuances and flavors of the Afro Diaspora’s spice market. The Simpson will embody the soulful vibes and beats of the borough, while capturing the exuberance of the New Brooklyn Renaissance through Art, Music, Mixology and Cuisine. The service will be reminiscent of wherever you call home, as Chef’s “Cooking with Love” menu will be completed with an array of desserts, yummy mock tails for the non-drinker, come for the food, stay for the vibe. Kitchen close 1 hour before door is closed. Bar closes 30 minutes before doors close.
Casual recipes with Jamaican flair whipped up in a relaxed spot with a colorful bar.

A time was definitely had. We made a reservation ahead of time, which was perfect because we were seated immediately with no wait. Living in NYC, you already know that even with a reservation there’s usually some wait, so the fact that there wasn’t one at all really set the tone for a great night.
The atmosphere was really nice. There was good music, great energy, and a fun vibe all around. The food was good, and our server Mike was absolutely amazing. He was super friendly, attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire time without ever making us feel rushed. Allan was also great because he cleared the dishes that were used in a timely manner and kept everything neat and organized for us. Ben, the person who brought out our food, was amazing as well and added to the overall positive experience.
One of my favorite parts was seeing the security dancing to the music because it honestly added to the energy and made the whole place feel even more alive. Overall, I had a great time and really enjoyed the experience. I will definitely be going back.

ALL I have to say is YUM-YUM – ME . Get ready for your taste buds to take an excursion to the beautiful Caribbean Tropics, each dish is bursting with well seasoned flare. Our server ” Marcus” was outstanding . The ambiance is exceptional, the decor is contemporary loaded with cultural icons adorning the walls, lighting was perfect, seating arrangement has just enough space to enjoy comfort and privacy. You will enjoy their secretly tucked away booth, or you may want a little more wiggle room and dine at the floor tables, or even to grab a drink and bite at the bar. Competitive pricing especially in downtown high traffic area. Greeter outstanding and I felt like I was in vacation. I highly recommend this establishment and will definitely revisit the next time I’m back in town. A place where KINGS QUEENS enjoy fine dining.

Visited this establishment for dinner. From the moment you step through the did you are welcomed by the hostess. My friend and I were seated right away. I loved the ambience of the restaurant and the bathrooms were actually clean and smelling nice. Our waiter was Jarred and he was filled with laughter, he knew his menu and was able to give recommendations, ask for him. Big up yuh self J! I enjoyed my meal, see photos 10/10. Overall I’ll give this restaurant a 9 and Jarred’s customer service was a 10. My friend and I will definitely be back to visit.

10/10 will definitely recommend. The fish fritters and jerk tacos Fire !!! This was my first time here. Kevoy was a wonderful server. He was so patient with us & help me decide on what to order. He gave great feedback and was spot on with the recommendations. His attitude was great & kept a smile on his face the whole time. The food was great! I had the brown stew snapper with rice and peas and for my appetizer I had the bami with ackee and salt fish, with the Bob Marley cocktail(virgin). The appetizer was not salty at all it was so good. I spread that ackee on my bami like it was butter Everything was great. I was filled so easily I literally couldn’t finish! The atmosphere was stunning, the music was great. Kevoy, my waiter was the absolute best, his smile and energy really was amazing. He was so sweet checking on us frequently seeing how we were doing. Customer service was too tier. I had a great time overall! If you want a date night, birthday dinner or good vibes music and food?? the Simpsons is where it’s at for sure! Will be visiting again.

I love the Simpson! The food always hits. This is where I had my first lamb chops and it’s always great! (Sometimes smaller than others but always flavorful).
The wings were amazing and it was first time having them. I am not a steak person but my sister said it was really good. Some of the best oxtails ever& always melt in your mouth. The veggies are yum! I love the plain veggie Rasta pasta because it’s not dry and pack with flavor! I honestly didn’t taste the sweets as it was to go for my family but it looked good.
I will always recommend this place to any and everyone! It’s black owned.

First time here and celebrated my birthday and it was a great experience. Food was delicious and was served quick. Didn’t take long to be seated either. If Kevoy is your server then trust you will be in good hands. He checked on us on numerous occasions to make sure everything was to our liking. Looking forward to going back in the near future.

I had a great experience for my first time at Simon’s Resturant for lunch. Currently sitting here typing this review before heading out the door. Our server Kevoy was amazing!! He attended to us very thoroughly. His recommendations of the food were spot on! COD fish fritters were flavorful and filling. The jerk chicken tacos were amazing. Flavor packed ! And worth every bite. The Rasta pasta with jerk chicken was good. The portions were perfect. The bourbon jerk baby lamp chips with mashed potatoes were amazing as well. Flavor packed in every bite ! Nice kick to it as well ! Also the drinks were amazing too. Honestly I am not too much a fan of Wray and nephews. But the Rum punch was perfectly balanced ! And that Simpson Strawberry was amazing !! Ordered 3 of those before leaving !! The lava cake dessert with ice cream was amazing as well. Will definitely be back to Simpsons for dinner next time. Great appreciation to our server Kevoy and supervisor Rosean for the conversation and recommendations of late night plans !! Best 1st experience at a Resturant !! Thank you Simpson Resturant for great flavorful food with great customer service.

Amazing place, food is very good. Macaroni and cheese wasn’t as great as I expected but it was good. The oxtails were fantastic, but I don’t think the macaroni next to the oxtail makes for a very good matchup.
The 10 pound lobster was good, didn’t seem like 10 pounds of lobster to me though. That coconut curry sauce was excellent. Salmon dish was excellent, nice proportion size of salmon. If you get the kids chicken meal, be surprised that you’re gonna get a lot of chicken strips good amount of fries.
Very disappointed, we didn’t get to have the tiramisu and the lava cake. They ran out, ;( whatever happened. Server was good, good energy. Took way too much time clear dishes from our table. Had to remind him a few times. Low selection of sparkling wine, mixed drinks were good. Good music along with the atmosphere.
