We had an absolutely amazing experience at The Silk Boston! Every dish was creative and bursting with flavor. The deconstructed samosa noodles were such a fun and delicious twist, the flatbread was perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the biryani was aromatic and beautifully spiced. We ended with a Panna Cotta that was simply divine — light, creamy, and the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. The cocktails were just as impressive, and the staff made the whole evening even better with their warm hospitality. Definitely a must-visit spot in Boston for anyone who loves inventive, high-quality food and drinks! ✨

We made a reservation here for dinner for my wife’s birthday with family after she found this new Indian fusion restaurant. On arriving on time for the reservation, our expectations did drop a bit when they did not have our table ready for 7 people. It seemed the front of house were not prepared despite a reservation being made in advance. And then on ordering drinks we found out that they did not have have 3 of the cocktails in their menu available. So it was not off to a great start.
But this only improved as we enjoyed the apps and our drinks. We really enjoyed the GuavaJalerita cocktail which was like a spicy margarita. The chicken 65, calamari and the lamb pomegranate flatbread were so good! The tandoori chicken bao buns were good but would have been better if the chicken had been left in the tandoor grill a bit more to make it more crispy.
For entrees, the goan shrimp linguini and gochujang braised ribs were really quite good, though the herb crusted lamb was a tad overcooked. And then for dessert, we got the chai creme brulee, saffron panna cota and the cardamon dark chocolate tart were all divine! One of the owners came by to wish a happy birthday and we learned this is a fairly new restaurant (just a couple months open now), which explains some of the short comings at the start of our evening. We are looking forward to visiting again to see how much more they improve, cause the food and drinks were really enjoyable!

Absolutely loved this place! The concept of combining cuisines is unique and very well executed. Food was very delicious, a standout for me was definitely the shrimp linguine- a great combination of Italian and Indian cooking. We also had probably the best chicken biriyani I’ve tried in Boston, actually spicy and authentic which was amazing. Staff were super courteous and quick, and the inside is BEAUTIFUL. Also, we got the chai crème brule for desert, another hit I’ve never tried anything like it! Overall, 10/10 recommend!

My fiancé and I both ordered the butter chicken and it was amazing! So flavorful and good proportions. The chefs kindly made a special appetizer for me since Im gluten free and couldnt have either of the wing options. The chicken was so tender. We killed it before I could even get a picture! The restaurant is also architecturally pleasing and beautifully decorated which is always a big plus in my book. Definitely will be coming back here!

High price for very little quantity and quality. Flavor was ok- nothing compared to restaurants in London. The drinks were not worth it. The service was ok – they kept bringing dishes not for our table. The garlic nan had tons of butter and no garlic. The $15 dumplings (picture there) were clearly frozen and no flavor. The Chicken 65 was fine but I had much better in Hyderabad. Best for last: the Tandoori Chicken Bao was good. I won’t go back and don’t recommend this place.

A good introduction to Indian fusion dishes.

It’s been surprisingly hard to find upscale Indian spots in Boston, but places like this seem to be popping up lately. Most of the Indian restaurants I’ve tried rely pretty heavily on MSG, so when I heard they were doing a mix of fusion dishes and cleaner, more elevated takes on classics, I wanted to give it a shot. Outside of tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and a handful of go-to curries, I haven’t explored much of the cuisine, so something “fusion” felt like a good way to try new flavors without getting blindsided by heavy spices or heat.

We came on a Friday evening, and the place was almost empty. Got a comfy booth, and our server, Mike, was extremely friendly throughout the night. We went with the Chicken 65, Royale Saag Tikka, Tandoori salmon, and the spicy Goan linguine. Overall, everything was better than what I’ve had at most Indian spots around Boston. A lot of the entrées leaned softer on spice and heat, but it felt intentional. The kitchen asked us about our spice tolerance before anything came out, so it seemed like they were being careful with non-Indian diners.

Chicken 65 – The yogurt marinade effect kicked in really nicely. Super moist and tender pieces, and coated with just enough spices to give it flavor without a drop of dipping sauces.

Royale Saag Tikka – Spinach was very finely grated, which resulted in this super creamy and non-grainy curry. Compared to the paneer (cheese) version I usually have, the chicken didn’t add a whole lot of flavor. Yet, that subtle earthiness/bitterness was all it really needed to make a bowl of basmati rice taste good.

Tumeric Tandoori Chicken – Really soft salmon, but the tumeric integration was too soft. Pairing it with garlic mashed potatoes instead of rice was a great choice, but it definitely could’ve used more spices here.

Spicy Goan Linguine – The jumbo shrimp was impeccably cooked, but the Goan spices were barely noticeable. More like a light coconut cream linguine.

It was a weekend going for early (5ish) dinner prior to other nightly events. Walked in to the restaurant with about 3 other tables seated, service and menu came quickly, got our orders in, and it just went downhill from there.

First off, that cocktail. I gather it is inspired with Indian flavors, and I can take a chili pepper kick in a drink. But this is straight up tobasco water. The guava part is visible but not detected in the mixture other than it’s contribution to the thick-ish blob at the bottom. Not at all a fruity drink with a kick, more like torture solution to burn one’s throat. In hindsight, I should have sent it back coz it was not enjoyable at all.

Food was overall good, actually. Good portion, great flavors — the salad, flatbread, and the goat entree. Didn’t like the balsamic glaze in the Mediterranean salad though. Honestly, it was likely from a bottle, which is fine if it wasn’t so overly sweet.

As the restaurant started to fill out, it was getting harder to get service – basic things like asking for the check and to-go boxes. It took several tries and more than 15 minutes before we could go. Our waiter apologized for a busy night, which we appreciated. But the other guy we flagged down along the way seemed to just say yes and walked off without communicating to anyone who needs to receive the message. Strange.

The digital menu is great, but the pictures all get flattened as we click into the item. Something that can use some adjustments.

I had the pleasure of dining at Sill Brookline, and I must say — the experience was absolutely fantastic! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, both veg and non-veg, and every single dish was delicious. You can really tell the care that goes into the preparation and presentation.

The service was timely and professional, and I really appreciated how the staff respected and carefully handled each customer’s order. Everyone was polite, friendly, and attentive throughout.

It’s rare to find a place where every item on the menu is worth trying, but Sill Brookline has managed to do just that. I’m genuinely happy to share my comments — and yes, I’ll definitely be visiting again and again!

Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a welcoming dining experience. Don’t miss it!

( I’ll be adding some pictures I took to show just how good everything looked!)
