Passing through town and saw my people, so I had to stop. Ashley provided great service from a food trailer next to their dining room. I only got half pound of brisket. It was tender and juicy, with no sauce needed.

Really fantastic brisket sandwiches, beans, and potato salad. This place is such a hidden gem in Sanderson. The staff is really friendly and the food came out fast. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I got the brisket sandwich plate and it was more than I could finish. I made a good attempt but ended up just eating the brisket off the bun. They leave the meat plain to allow you to put on the sauce, but it doesn’t need much because the flavor is already so good. The potato salad was creamy without too much celery. The food comes from a trailer but they have an indoor seating area that’s clean and has a restroom for customers. I admit that I’m a BBQ snob and I think this place is great. I looked at the food other people had ordered and it all looked amazing. If you’re in the area, you should plan on grabbing something here.

Driving in from Austin, I arrived in Sanderson and was amazed by the tranquil scenery. I was even more amazed by the sandwich from The Sighting BBQ – the sauce propelled it over the top. The bread was excellent, and the fries were perfectly crispy. I can’t wait to find myself in Sanderson again. Thank you.

For some reason the thought of Sanderson having the best bbq popped in my head when looking for something good to eat before getting to big bend that ain’t out of the way. It was the best bbq with the coolest raddest atmosphere. I really enjoyed the pulled pork and brisket with fries and baked beans. Highly recommend my outdoorsy people passing through making the trek (drive) of miles and miles of nothing to hold off and make the stop.

Great food! Take the scenic route to W TX through Sanderson and stop by Sighting BBQ. Burgers and other sandwiches are quite good, but I wouldn’t skip the BBQ plates. Sanderson is a cool little town so try to plan your trip when Sighting BBQ and Ferguson Motors Coffee are open.
