Pure Bliss! My Favorite Hidden Gem

I cannot recommend Frenchy’s Café enough. It truly is a little slice of France tucked away in a beautiful, scenic setting. It manages to be both chic and incredibly welcoming at the same time. The coffee is excellent, the food is rustic and simple yet beautifully balanced and the selection of pastries are divine. The peaceful environment makes it the perfect place to recharge and I love they are dog-welcoming and friendly. A rare find that I find myself returning to again and again.

Goes for a “Holiday surcharge” on a Saturday.

Burger was unremarkable; $25. Watermelon juice was more water and ice than juice; $12. With the“holiday” and debit card surcharges, this was over $40. Would love to see a better cafe in this location.

These people clearly have a business model of “overcharge wherever possible” instead of just doing a good job for a fair price. So, I don’t think they’re worth supporting.

A little slice of Paradise tucked away in Mosman!!

Frenchy’s Café is one of those rare finds that feels both charmingly local and effortlessly chic. Nestled in the scenic heart of Mosman near the historic Headland Park, it offers the perfect blend of French flair and Sydney’s relaxed café culture.

From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by warm smiles, the smell of freshly baked pastries, and a calm, leafy setting that feels worlds away from the city buzz. The croissants are buttery perfection, the coffee is rich and smooth, and the menu is filled with simple, honest food done exceptionally well. Try the Croque Monsieur or the smoked salmon tartine—both are divine.

Tables fill quickly on weekends (for good reason), so arriving early is a smart move. Whether you’re there for a long brunch, a quick espresso, or just to take in the view with a pastry in hand, Frenchy’s has that effortless charm that keeps you coming back.

A must-visit cafe!!

Perfect cafe alongside Sydney Harbour and surrounding natural bushland. Brilliant choice of food, breakfast and lunch. If outside, watch out for the cheeky kookaburras, especially if you have meat on your plate. They quietly watch for an opportunity then silently dive bomb and grab your food. Can be a little scary as they have very sharp claws. I witnessed one.
However, so long as you keep an eye out, French’s is a wonderful experience.

Have visited this cafe many times over several years mainly because of the wonderful location for a coffee and snack. The environment is what makes it unique. The food is hit and miss with the quiche and salad probably most reliable in terms of taste, size and value. Unfortunately the manner from staff is unremarkable at times and has bordered on abrupt disinterest….eg. unwilling to provide a larger glass of water on a summer day for a 90 year old to avoid running to and from the dispenser! This is an area with à lot of older people and more sensitivity would be welcome.

I recently tried the Angus burger with roasted potatoes, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The burger was perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and packed with that rich, beefy taste you only get from high-quality Angus beef. The patty had a great sear on the outside while staying tender inside, and it was topped with fresh lettuce, tomato and a sauce that brought everything together beautifully.

The roasted potatoes on the side were a fantastic touch—small bit sized, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. They were a refreshing alternative to the usual fries and paired really well with the burger.

This meal hit all the right notes for comfort food with a gourmet twist. Highly recommended if you’re craving something hearty, satisfying, and made with care.

Just a short drive from the main shops in Mosman. There is plenty of street parking although it can get a bit busy. The food and coffee is good. But the call out is the price, it’s very expensive for what you get (the toast in the photo was $17). I recommend going for the big breakfast. The venue itself is great, very open and allows you to go for a short stroll down to chowder bay after your meal. Would come back for a coffee but probably not worth the price for the food.

Used to be a favourite until today when a kookaburra took my whole burger and I was patronisingly warned by the manager that “next time it won’t be replaced”!
This is an ongoing problem and warning me after the fact doesn’t cut it.
It’s sad because I’ve had many happy times there and cowering in a protected dark corner ruins the ambiance!

A little taste of France in every bite!
Stepping into this café felt like a quick trip back to France. From the warm atmosphere to the authentic selection of pastries and breads, everything reminded me of home. The quality of the products is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. If you’re looking for a real French experience, this place is a gem!
Merci beaucoup ! ❤️
