The Side Project Cellar offers indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio is a bricked, European-style patio that wraps around the back and the side of our building. The SP Cellar is our cozy spot that’s great for a date night, small groups or for that person who wants to quietly enjoy a beer while they work on their computer or read a book. The Cellar offers Side Project beer, but also boasts a wide variety of beer from breweries around the world (on draft, by the bottle and beer on cask), plus an extensive whiskey list, wines by the glass, cider and a rotating cocktail menu. The Side Project Cellar also carries some non-alcoholic beverages like Topo Chico, soda, and apple juice. The Side Project Cellar opened in 2014.
Relaxed, rustic tasting room for Side Project Brewing’s barrel-aged beers & other craft brews.

The absolute gem of breweries in St. Louis, and so far the entire Midwest. Everything on the menu is incredibly desirable. The draft menu is split into what temperature the cellared beers are kept. Just, perfection, right? Pages upon pages of incredible, available beers on draft, bottle, and can. Plus, many more pages of whiskey, too. Belgian vibes for the atmosphere. This may be the most uniquely and immaculately conceived and received brewery. Rare find.
We were traveling through town and had to wait until 1 for them to open. Usually most places that’s not a big deal and it’s pretty empty then. But there was a long line just to get in. When the doors opened the line was too the door and the bar was full. And only one person serving everyone. So it took us almost an hour to get a drink. Several people behind us gave up and left. We strongly considered it.
When I finally got to order I don’t understand why most of their beers in bottles can’t be taken to go. The To-Go selection is pretty limited compayto the amount of bottles they have available.
Another annoyance was they only have one single bathroom. So in addition to waiting in line for an hour to order a drink ee also had to wait in line just to use the BR.
The beer was good but wow they need to improve their service.
Side Project Cellar has a tremendous beer list, much more than just the usual macro brews on tap. It’s comfortable, it’s got a very chill vibe and it’s a lovely little spot.
In addition my favorite experiences are the multiple special events they have a year serving up their more limited beers.
Likely to be coming back.
