This place is Awesome. My wife ordered the appetizer Fried Clams, best anywhere. Portion size was big. Price was great for the size. But the tartar sauce was fantastic (took extra home). I had the Seafood Cameron Alex, very good.
Handicapped accessible. Parking can be tight. VG service, clean, water views. Outside seating (small)
Salt and pepper shakers are terrible (only complaint). Too bad they did not move to the old Tom Shea’s.
When we walked out my Wife asked to come back for her Birthday.

Beautiful seaside restaurant with a big bar. The bar was full at 3pm on a Monday. Like the other restaurants in the Synergy Restaurant Group, it appears to be a popular watering hole, and the menu is similar. Nice selection of menu options and beer on draft.

This spot is in my weekly rotation and for good reason. The staff is always on point — super efficient and accommodating.
The interior is beautiful, with tons of natural light and a great view of the Essex River. They did an amazing job remodeling this place.
Portions are solid, and the food never disappoints. My go-to mains are the steak tips (juicy, tender, and full of flavor) and the lobster roll, which is loaded with big chunks of lobster — no skimping here. Tip: upgrade to waffle fries!
As for apps, I’m all about the deviled eggs, crispy asparagus, and BBQ tenders. All three are legit and perfect for sharing (or not).
All in all, great food, great vibe, great service — can’t ask for much more.

Our waiter was the absolute sweetest but our food was terrible. Bread came out hard as a rock. The clam chowder was like water. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp half was burnt the other half wasn’t fully cooked. Ordered scallops rice and mash potatoes. Scallops were beyond over cooked and covered in sand. The rice was hard as a rock and the mash potatoes were absolutely disgusting. We were offered free drinks any meals taken off to make up for it which we really appreciated.

Our first time there and we were very impressed! Guinness on tap is always a plus for us. Clam and seafood chowder to start packed with exactly what is says. I always complain that clam chowder should be called potato chowder, it never has enough clams. This chowder is full of tender delicious clams, I honestly don’t remember a potato though I am sure there was one in it.
The seafood chowder claims the same fame packed with shrimp, scallops and fish!
We split the fish and chips which was delicious and traditional. It Sat well and was not greasy. *Malt vinegar was offered, also a plus.
Views are great but secondary to the food.
Great first impression, keep it up!

We ate here twice in the same day. At lunch, the blacked fish tacos were excellent, but the portions of haddock were on the small side for $26. The bacon wrapped pineapple shrimp were excellent. At dinner, I had the tacos again but this time the portion of fish was roughly twice what I received for lunch at the same price. My wife had the clam chowder, and the clams were plentiful but the consistency was not creamy as most will agree clam chowder should be. Instead it was a broth and not what we were expecting. I hope the portions are consistent in the future and the chowder goes creamy. Otherwise, excellent staff and atmosphere.

We had a fantastic dining experience at The Shipyard! The host on Saturday night was exceptional—kind, attentive, and he seated us at a wonderful outdoor table that truly made our evening.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, offering stunning views, excellent service, and delicious food. I highly recommend The Shipyard for a special night out!

Andy was our server today in the bar area. He went above and beyond to make sure our lunch was perfect. I mentioned that the steamers, although delicious, were a bit too sandy. He immediately took them back and served us with a whole new order, even though we ate more than half. I tried to explain that it really wasn’t a problem but he refused to let us finish the bucket. On top of that he brought us a round to make up for the inconvenience. He’s my new favorite local bartender. I’ll be back. Thank you, Andy!

The artichoke hearts are fantastic !! ♥️
Chris, our server was polished, professional, and friendly. My honey had Bleu cheese burger, also delicious. Prices are reasonable for the decor, views, and quality. This was our second visit here. I expect we will return often.
