This place is a little hidden but it makes me like it even more that way. We ordered the mocktails and they were very yummy. Im glad they had them and they are on the first page of the drinks menu. Then we ordered some food, that was delicious. We got the grilled cheese, sweet potato friends and fried tofu bowl. We were blown away with how good it was. We will be back for sure.

What an amazing local establishment! Nautically themed, great drinks, great pirate shenanigans all year long but this year for Gasparilla the main highlight was the pirate decorations!! Boy did I feel like I was colonizing the Caribbean but with 2026 consent ☠️

I’ve always liked the bartenders at Ship’s Hold. They’ve consistently been friendly and make great drinks, which is why I decided to come here after a disappointing experience at The Galley involving inappropriate uncalled for comments from Tyler.
Unfortunately, Ship’s Hold won’t be a place I return to either. The female bartender working was great, but the issue was with co-owner Joey. He’s unprofessional and has an extreme temper. This is the second time I’ve seen him have a full meltdown in the bar. It’s unnecessary, and honestly just immature behavior. Really disappointing

Cool spot. Really awesome, fun pirate ship vibe. The cocktails were very fun and ambitious, but in my opinion they didn’t always work in practice. I had 2 and neither was bad, they just also weren’t spectacular, and quite pricey for what they were. Bartender was very friendly, though.
Also, the two tables just inside the door have video games you can play (one had a NES and the other had a SNES). We sat at the table with the SNES, but unfortunately the B button on one of the controllers was broken.

Their food is top tier, especially their Cuban sandwiches. The bartenders and servers were amazing. It’s a drive for us, but whenever we’re in the area and need a good spot to get a bite or drink this place will be that spot. Thank you!!

This is a MUST STOP if you’re a rum drinker. I seriously can’t picture anywhere in the county with a larger rum collection. Pair this with experienced mixologist and a great dark/dreamy setting and you’re in for a treat!
This is our go to for Rum Old Fashions just the way we like them. They also have a food menu from their spot next door — check out taco Tuesday and their SPAM tacos. Don’t knock it till you try it.

There’s not a better cocktail bar downtown St. Pete than The Ship’s Hold. Every bartender is a master at their craft, mixing and making delicious cocktails. Highly recommend (quietly, so it’s not too busy) you bring a friend and enjoy the ambiance and the atmosphere.
