Surprisingly small restaurant, very cozy. Service was friendly and very attentive. My sister and I tried their marinated raw shrimp, Ika, and salmon which were all very delicious and refreshing. I recommend their crab roe noodles and Sha Xian Peanut noodle. Soo flavourful and for a very affordable price.

If you love seafood, this place is fantastic. Been there plenty of times and my personal favourite is oysters, dumplings and hand cut noodles. They gave really good marinated items as well like duck and salmon. Oysters are always fresh. This is one place i ate seafood where I haven’t had an upset tummy.
Happy hour items are really good price as well.

Amazing service, the staff is friendly and quick.

I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are a seafood lover.
Food: Their food is superb! The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. You can let the waitress know what kind of seafood you’d like to eat and she can recommend options even if they are not on the menu.
Service: The waitress was super nice. We accidentally made an order on the app, and she came to confirm our choice. She said if we change our mind, we can reorder with her.
Atmosphere: The restaurant is really small, with 4 tables and perhaps 20 seats total, so make sure to call ahead and make a reservation if you have a big group.

Their seafood is extremely fresh and clean. The marinated sauce is very tasty but the clam is really small. Although it’s a small restaurant not fancy at all, the price is pretty high, roughly 100$/pers

Truly a hidden gem in Richmond. Loved the food! Lin was very kind enough to give us an excellent service and take all our preferences into consideration. Will be coming back again and again.

We ordered oysters, marinated raw salmon, sea urchin bowl, marinated raw crabs, and beef pho. The food tastes ok but I think the portion size is small for the price, and unfortunately we had diarrhea after. The service was good.

Visited the Shellfish Shack during HH. The store was small, about three tables available for seating. They were quite busy with takeout orders, but we were the only customers seated inside the restaurant.

A few dishes from the HH menu were on the salty side. Portion/ cuts of certain dishes were questionable, too. Otherwise, all dishes ordered were unique in taste. Some dishes would be ordered again.

I think we lucked out in choosing the right stuff hehe.Take a look at the photos and see! For what we chose it was around $55 per person with tips.

Things to note: -place is small, can fit like one group of 6, but wouldn’t do bigger than that!
-a lot of the items will be more cold marinated dishes and either partially cooked or raw! If you don’t like that, then it may not be a place for you!
-the lady serving us was so so sweet ❤️

Should try:
-geoduck (raw) mm like sweet sashimi with a nice vinegary marinade
– periwinkle snails. Flavoured well with a thicker sauce – which by the way tastes great if you put it on a bed of hot rice 🙂 the snails didn’t have sand in it yay!
– seafood tower. The crab flavouring – mm and the conch at the bottom was my fav. They had musssels and clams at the bottom too. The sauce is more of a light tomato base from what I remember

Instagram: mishinnoms for more of the review as I want to keep this short and sweet.

Parking is difficult, and the store is hard to find. It’s quite small, due to advertising, there’s been more foot traffic. However, the staff shortage leads to slow service, despite the lunch set being very affordable at just over 20 dollars. It’s a great deal as you get to enjoy a wide variety of seafood.

Tip: park at the back parking lot and walk through the corner to go to the front haha.
The lady that served us is always so nice. My go to spot. They even brought out some drinks and a side dish to celebrate my birthday .

I find the seafood fresh, and it’s not one of those places where they use the same flavouring and sauce for majority of their dishes, you can actually taste the difference in the dishes! A lot of people do takeout for this place- my family would have this to pair for some beer and wine (like late snacking after dinner haha or what we call the second dinner)

Escargot – if you’re new to eating snails and want it easier to pick out with your toothpicks you can try the escargot. It has bigger piece of meat! The flavour is not too spicy, just so fragrant and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, ordering a bowl of their steaming hot rice and drizzling all the sauces from the dishes to eat with it .

Marinated geoduck- it’s my go to thing I like to order, it is a bit smaller than my first time but maybe it’s a seasonal (what seafood is in season kind of thing).

Uni oyster- it’s not bad considering the price point. It’s like $4 per oyster/uni whereas in fancy restaurants it can be $4.13 for the one oyster alone!

It’s a small place so the biggest we got was around 6 folks on stools as there were two tables of 2 ppl on the other side!
