I was walking around Cheraw on Sunday doing the famous cell phone tour and needed someplace to eat. Since there were not a lot of people around, naturally the one restaurant with all the cars and people had to be the right place to go. And I wasn’t wrong.
The Shed is a southern buffet style restaurant. If you have never been to one, this is a good one to go to. There’s not a ton of selection, but what’s there is perfect. Fried chicken, corn bread, baked Mac and cheese, collard, green beans, etc. Really it’s the only meal you’ll need to eat on the day you visit. And try to hit Sunday brunch to eat with the locals and feel like you’re part of the community.

I’d give 5 if I hadn’t driven 30 MN to go eat there on Easter sun,Google listed it as open, but it was not. I’ve eaten there plenty in the past. It’s been a while, but I’m sure it is still awesome. They pride there self on this. I just wish buissinness’s would take the time to change their special hours of operation on Google it only takes a few minutes. I know I’m a mobile mechanic whose buissinness is also listed on Google.

Walked in and asked to wait in the bar for a table for 3. No bartender. 7 minutes later got a table. 14 minutes later not a soul came to ask what we wanted drink much less take our order. We left and we up the street. Had a drink in 3 minutes, appetizer in 6 dinner in 10.

The food is good. I dont know what they changed with the macaroni but the top of the macaroni burnt and the cheese on inside not melted. The macaroni and cheese is usually good so they need to go back to how they had it.

Our family loves this restaurant! It has been a tradition for a little while now to go every Sunday after church and it’s a highlight of my week They serve southern cooked meals on buffet and there’s always a different variety of things to pick from for my picky eaters. Their fried corn bread will make you want to slap your mama! I recommend going right when they open (11:00am) or waiting until about 1:00pm because this place is always packed out the door. It’s also pretty affordable as well since our family of four can eat for about $40 but I think it’s worth every penny. Definitely should try this out for yourself!
