Had dinner this past Saturday night for the first time. The smothered fries were good but would have been much better if they were hotter, not sure if they are served barley warmed for a reason. Duck Confit was excellent, and the tri tip sandwich was good as well. The server appeared new and not very attentive, but I understand staffing issues. The biggest issue was a smell of sewer coming in from the outside because the front door was open. I am not sure if that is normal but not very appetizing.

We have been regular customers of the Shaved Duck since they opened in South City over 10 years ago so we were very excited to hear that they were opening a second location in Kirkwood! We had them cater our wedding at The Bluffs on Broadway this past Saturday, October 9th and everything was incredible! Pulled pork, chicken, brisket, mac-n-cheese, zucchini squash veggie dish and salad were our choices. All through the day, our guests told us that it was the best food they’d ever had at a reception!! Kudos to the the owner, Ally Nisbet and his staff for all of their hard work and enthusiasm- we had the best wedding ever! Thank you so much for helping make our day even more special. Affordable and delicious – you can’t go wrong with The Shaved Duck!!

I was excited to try The Shaved Duck. We ordered 2 orders of wings and burnt ends along with several sides. The wings were completely dried out and tasted old. They were not edible. The burnt ends were also dry but edible. This meal was not inexpensive and we were very disappointed.

Just ate at the Kirkwood Schnucks location, and…wow! Very good!! We had the pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, French fires, and Brussel sprouts. Gooey butter cake was baked perfectly. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and it did not!! A++++

Really disappointed. Best part about my meal was the beans. Slaw was gross, burnt ends are mediocre, smoked wings had no smoked flavor, and pulled pork was bland. Expensive meal also

Burnt ends were very good pulled pork was alright and the meatloaf was Ok not really what I was expecting the turkey was good the meat was good where it lost its oh ya I gotta have that again was the sauce I didn’t really care for the sauces they use they aren’t bad but not that great either in my opinion but I would still advise anyone visiting or wondering yes give it a try.
