Great local restaurant and great deal. WALK TO THE EAST END OF THE RESTAURANT. During a weekday, the other doors were locked. We lucked out and came on 50 cent wing day. Shanty rub is the best choice for wings. They get the skin on the wings perfectly crispy. Awesome place to come from a boat, as you can see the docks. Staff was wonderful.

Stopped here after a fishing trip for lunch. Definitely better than expected. Had the fish sandwiches and fish and chips. Everything was so good we ate there again a few days later.

Stumbled, dehydrated, off of a successful morning whale watch into The Shanty. Classic bar-on-a-pier with a unhurried but efficient waiter/bartender serving huge fried fish sandwiches, good beer and lots of tequila shots. Thumbs up would rehydrate there again.

I drove from Asheville, NC up to Plymouth area for a funeral. Sad stuff, normally. We got to enjoy the area my wife’s “Yiayia” grew up. One random day after stopping by the hilariously underwhelming Rock, we swung by here for lunch. Prices were amazing. Oysters and clams were on-point. Best local, fresh, seafood I’ve had. If I’m ever back, I’ll be there.

The food was delicious and well priced. Unbeatable spot in town that’s very close to the Mayflower II.

I am a regular at the shanty and the AC never works, i ask the bartenders and cook who are consistently sweating worse than a UPS driver and they said they tell the owners (Tavern) daily and it is not fixed. Only bar in town that doesn’t have AC for its patrons or hard working employees

Cozy shack with great food and drinks. The famous lobster roll and the clam chowder are superb. Chicken wings and fries definitely above the line. Fast & great food and drinks served by friendly staff!

Very friendly bartender, helpful and let me taste a bottled beer before buying which was a first for me. I bought it, it was good. Picked a few places around town that he suggested we visit which was helpful. The food was okay but nothing special, they were also out of the famous Lobster Roll which was a let down. The selection of beers were lacking for a Pub which really is the reason for not having 5 stars.
