I ordered the Conch Mofongo, Red Snapper, sweet plantains, side salad and cilantro sauce. The beverage I ordered were passion fruit and tamarind juice. The food was delicious Chef Roona did such a good job and the food presentation made the food even more than enticing to eat The food was worth what I paid.

My husband and I had a great date night at The Shack Caribbean Seafood and Grill and were really impressed with the food and experience. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and reminded us of the amazing meals we had in Puerto Rico.
We ordered the calamari and fish bites for appetizers, my husband ordered the fish tacos, and I had the chicken asopao.
Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly service. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend giving it a try!

We picked up the order. Whole red snapper that costs $31.99 was overtired in dirty oil and my folk didn’t go into it due tot he surface of the fish was like rock and 2 lime wedge embedded that’s made the fish bitter an sour taste, and o flipped the fish, the flesh was half dried, the salad was mostly lettuce that was no moisture apparently just poured from the bag, few pieces of slice cherry tomatoes. The calamari was very salty like someone just poured cayenne pepper and very spicy. We don’t order spicy calamari. This was my birthday meal and I was going to take the plate to the restaurant but decided this so the last time o will go to this restaurant. Now my family know why there was no customers in the restaurant when we went to pick up the food around 6:30pm. No dinner traffic in the restaurant? This may be the reason. The restaurant think it is okay to offer this kind of food for the family dinner spending over $70 for 2 taco dinners, 1 fried calamari, and 1 whole red snapper. We will go other restaurants where diners are appreciate.

Great for dinners with the family, friends meet-up, road trip stop to eat, solo dinning.
Staff was friendly, professional, and attentive.
It has that shack on the island feel. Bathrooms were decent. Sufficient parking. Island music in the background at sound level ideal for conversation.

This food was delicious! It took me back to my vacation in the Puerto Rico!!! I had the crab empanadas. Stuffed plantain. Fish and chips. Shrimp Mofongo. Everything was so tasty and the wait staff was so sweet and friendly. Next time I’m trying the snapper. We will return for sure.

Today I visited The Shack and had an amazing experience! I ordered the red snapper with fried plantain, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot-on, and I’ve never had anything quite like it before. Definitely recommend it!

I love it here. This is my second visit, and it’s just as good as before. Highly recommend the cheese balls with guava sauce. They even gave my mom a rose for mother’s day! 10/10, would rate it even higher if I could!

This place reminded of my mother’s cooking and true Caribbean food! Our server Natasha was amazing! She described each meal to us and helped us make the ideal selection. We had the tamarind juice, red snapper, fried pork mofongo, fried yuca, fried plantain, 3 empanadillas (shrimp, fish & beef) & the coconut flan for dessert. If you’re ever in Harker Heights don’t sleep on this place and if you want delivery or pick up they do that also! The place is clean and welcoming, they also have an outside dining section.

This place is awesome! I went here Saturday afternoon/evening with my mom. We sat on the deck in the back and were very comfy under the big tree. We got fish tacos and the mofongo with fried pork. For dessert, we tried both kinds of flan. The owner of the restaurant came out and thanked us for eating there and told us about the great ideas he has for the future. Our waiter, the food taste, the food presentation and the atmosphere ALL get five stars from us. I will be back very soon!
