The bartender was friendly and attentive. The ranch was great (some times it’s all about the dipping sauce) and the portions were great. We shared a salad, blt, steak wrap, fries and cheese curds. It was all good.

This shack is the kind of bar every town wishes it had. The food is fresh and way better than your typical tavern fare, and the drinks are always poured with a smile. What really makes it special, though, is the atmosphere — locals know each other by name, but if you’re new, you’ll be welcomed like an old friend. It’s warm, inviting, and just feels like home. Perfect spot to grab a bite, a drink, and some good conversation.

Good food, friendly service, what more can you ask for? There’s darts and an outdoor seating area. I like the shack daddy burger (or something like that. Whatever their house burger is called.) Nice salads for a bar too.

Polite service, great homemade ranch. Best taco salad I’ve had in awhile, the ratio was great, not lettuce fluffed and nice shell bowl. Wife liked her burger.

Nice little bar/restaurant. Stopped on a bike ride with girlfriend. Good little destination drive for people to go see. Food was pretty good.

Had the Shack Daddy burger and the mushroom Swiss burgers. Both were better than standard bar burgers, what you’d hope for. Big enough to fill you up and juicy enough to get both hands dirty. Thumbs up. Solid cheese curds and waffle fries as well.

Just moved here to black earth found this quaint little bar and grill. Awesome food great people honestly I’ve never had anybody. Call me back to ask me how my food was and the owner’s wife did just that I’m impressed. FYI, I’m an area supervisor for a restaurant chain so all in all they get an A+ for me thanks guys.
