We came here for a birthday dinner and overall had a really nice experience. The ambiance is dark and intimate, which made it feel cozy and perfect for a special night out. The atmosphere definitely sets the tone if you’re looking for something a little more upscale and relaxed. The food was good and thoughtfully prepared, though the menu is on the smaller side with limited options. It’s more of a small plates concept, so keep that in mind if you’re expecting larger portions. But they did have a few entree type items that were bigger portions. Everything we tried tasted great, but it is on the expensive side for the portion sizes. The meat from the skewers were bursting with flavor and so tender that is melted in your mouth! The staff was very nice and welcoming, which added to the positive experience. While I wish there were a few more menu choices, we still enjoyed our evening and would consider coming back for another special occasion.

The Sedgewick never disappoints. This is my fourth visit, and I will continue to frequent this place. It is just a stones throw from all the waterfront places, but much better. The ambiance is always nice, food is amazing, and the service is friendly.
We shared three dishes which were all cooked to perfection. The Marrow and Cow Cheeks was very flavorful, the fried brie with fig sauce & lemon curd had an amazing balance, and the grilled octopus was extremely tender & not chewy.

We went at 3 for Dine the Couve and it was delicious! Parking is a little tricky but once inside, the atmosphere is fun/fancy. The staff explained the menu and food was creative and delicious. Spaghetti squash salad – yum. Lamb meatballs with homemade tzatziki sauce, and grilled peppers. The dessert menu looked enticing so we’ll go back again. A treat!

We tried their happy hour menu of smash burger and tacos. The smash burger was essentially a cheeseburger, nothing special. The tacos were good $5. Per taco

I finally tried this well-known Vancouver eatery from the good folks at Feast 316. Their design features tall ceilings, plenty of wall art, plush velvet seating, and a swanky chandelier that creates a very cool vibe.
The menu leans slightly toward seafood and Japanese influences with dishes like grilled octopus and yakitori (skewers), yet it also includes hearty Feast 316 staples such as ribeye steak, beef medallions, and a French burger. We ordered a braised pork yakitori, a burger, and duck fat fries. The braised pork was very tasty. The burger came with a massive deep-fried mushroom. The sandwich was too tall to eat as served, so I removed the mushroom and kept the crusty batter, which made it manageable. The fries were decent but not worth $15.
The cocktails were enjoyable. While their stock is somewhat limited, I was able to find one on the menu that worked. I’d love to see a few more premium liqueurs and mixers so the cocktails could match the level of the décor, but overall The Sedgwick is a delightful eatery. Street parking is hit-or-miss. -VanPort Insider

We went on a double date here on a Saturday evening and were sat in the bar area. They have a beautiful and grand chandelier in there.
Service was great! Very informative and attentive. We never needed to look for her. We went with her suggestion to share everything and that made the experience more fun.
I loved the truffle mac and cheese, fried Brie cubes, and the scallop yakitori. The scallops are cute little guys and very tasty. All the skewers were delicious. I think next time I would skip the beef cheek poutine. The beef cheek was the best part and the other ingredients were just so so.
For dessert, we got the chocolate pot de creme and chocolate lava cake. If you’re just getting one, I’d recommend the chocolate lava cake. There are a lot of fun elements in the plate, great for sharing!

Good food. Service was ok but it was pretty busy to be fair. Very noisy because of the way it’s designed. Bread pudding was amazing. I don’t drink but my friend likes the unique cocktails. Pretty spendy

Wow! We found this restaurant on Trip advisor and gave it a shot. It was the full experience of taste and service. Brooke was our primary server, though everyone was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered two Yakitori options, ribeye and scallops, two cocktails and then decided to have the baked Brie and fingerling potatoes too. We cleaned up every bite and enjoyed them all. It was just the right amount of food for two hungry adults and every bite was our favorite. Brooke was so attentive and helpful. Each of the menu items was accompanied by special sauces and condiments. If we lived in the area, this would be our go-to place for celebrations and special meals.
My only suggestion was that the ceiling fans be turned down for comfort and so the food doesn’t get chilled.

We’ve frequented the Sedgwick a few times now. Being newer to the area, we believe in giving all restaurants a few chances to win a place in our regular rotation.
We originally found the Sedgwick on a cold winter’s night in 2023. We stopped in for what we planned was a quick appetizer and drink. We ended up staying for dinner at the bar.
The bar is well lit and very classy. The staff is dressed appropriately. Drinks are very good but do take a minute to craft. They are on the pricy side.
The food is absolutely wonderful. Truly. Excellent food, excellent chef. However, for the portion size, it’s pricey. One can understand they are doing this intentionally to maintain a higher class of patrons but the tab was a bit jarring.
We’ve been back a couple times, took friends once. They enjoyed it but they too, did mention the prices.
Great place in the heart of downtown. We’ll be back. Hopefully they’ll adjust portions to match their pricing.
