My Wife, Mother Inlaw, Grandson and I are in Louisville KY for the weekend, while looking for a place to eat dinner we found Seafood Lady. We were pleasantly welcome by the host/owner Nichelle Thurston, whom unknown to us found us a low top table to accommodate my older mother in-law. The food was incredible as well as our waitress Ashley (ask for her). None of us were disappointed, we all wanted what the other was having lol. Try the shrimp n grits, chee-sea fries, or shrimp with anything , you will not be disappointed.

We’ve eaten here before and had a good experience but this time it was not the case. The place was understaffed and one sweet girl was doing all the work – Reading, seating, waiting, and bussing. It was 20 minutes before we saw any other employees except for the cooks you could see through the window. We were there the better part of an hour before our food arrived at the table. They were out of oysters, and two other items that we ordered that I don’t remember at the moment. It’s a shame because the food that we got was great but the rest of it just soured the entire meal. I highly doubt we will return – there are too many other restaurants to try in Louisville to come back.

WOW!!!!! I am from New Orleans and I know my seafood… the seafood lady is on point. We came in town for a volleyball tournament and it was so good that we ate here both nights. The staff is very welcoming and you can tell they are passionate in what they do. I recommend!! 10/10!!

My overall experience was awesome. The waitress was nice. She kept checking in on us. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The decor and the setup has a nice chic look. The quantity and the quality of the food was excellent. The only problem I experienced which warranted my 4 star is the lengthy wait time to be seated in the non crowded restaurant. Once again, I had a wonderful time there. I Will BE BACK!!!!

Seriously, hands down the absolute BESt!!! Not sure what we liked more. Ordered the Shrimp and Grits, seafood Mac and cheese and the fish tacos!!! It’s a party in my mouth. The service was incredible , Mikale was the BOMB, the best lemon drop martini ever!! We were privileged to meet the owner and she was as so down to earth. I honestly can’t wait to come back and try more. Thank you for taking care of us!!

Food was amazing. The server was sweet and attentive. I got the catfish and grits. My family enjoyed their food as well. This is my second time coming to Seafood Lady but first time at this location. We will be back soon!!!

This was my first visit to Sea Food Lady and all the positive hype you have heard is true. The service was stellar and the good was fabulous as well as plentiful. Our waitress provide service at the level I would expect at a 5 star restaurant. Keep up the good work.

Highly recommend! The cheddar biscuits were melt in your mouth good. The catfish grits was so delicious and I’ll be craving it for some time. We enjoyed our dinner! Thank you for great food and good music!

We are in from out of town and found this place when we searched online for seafood. Seemed like we were heading to a shady part of the city as we drove there, but felt comfortable once we arrived. Loved it! So glad we went and will go again. Great, friendly service, cute and vibrant atmosphere. The food was FRESH and amazing. My drink was well made, everything was done exceptionally well. Nothing negative to say.

They were out of grits so I got the catfish with broccoli and cheese. The food was good especially the cheese sea fries. The broccoli had barley any cheese though. The service was not good. Took 20 minutes to be addressed and we waited a long time for food and drinks. Our sauces that we ordered and my catfish were forgotten. Everyone has bad nights though so I wasn’t too upset. As for the atmosphere, it is very cute inside but needs more comfortable seating. Did have higher expectations for a restaurant that was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives.
