We started with oysters, calamari rings, and pieces of fried fish as appetizers. I can honestly say I have never tasted calamari and fish prepared so perfectly before — wow, simply outstanding. The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully cooked. The main fish dishes served with risotto were absolutely unforgettable. I can hardly find the right words to describe how delicious they were — everything was cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and presented beautifully.
Considering the high standards shown in the food quality, service, and overall atmosphere, I do have a few remarks that could make the experience even better. Our table had not been fully cleaned, and there were visible marks left by glasses. One of the plates had a small chipped corner, and the champagne glasses could be of slightly higher quality. I also believe that white tablecloths would elevate the restaurant to an even higher level of elegance. Additionally, the preparation time could be improved, as we had to ask a few times when the main course would arrive — waiting 1.5 hours felt a bit too long.
Overall, despite these small details, the food was exceptional and left a lasting impression. With a few improvements in presentation and timing, this restaurant could easily offer a truly flawless dining experience.
The waiter was extremely kind, professional, and well prepared, which made the experience even better. The food was good, and the wine list was also quite nice.
I would definitely recommend this place for dinner. It has a great atmosphere and is perfect for a relaxed evening out.
The food was fresh, well-prepared, and consistently solid. I’ll be upfront and say I’m a bit of a snobby foodie, so I tend to be picky — but for what this place is aiming to be, it absolutely delivers. Portions were generous, flavors were balanced, and everything felt made-to-order rather than mass-produced.
It’s exactly the kind of spot you want when you’re in Amsterdam and need something reliable, fresh, and satisfying without committing to a long sit-down meal.
Would happily come back and recommend it to anyone looking for fast, fresh food done right — especially if you want something healthier and well-executed without sacrificing convenience.
Both the shrimp and the king prawn were excellent, with naturally sweet and firm meat. The mussels in tomato sauce that came with the dish were also much better than I expected. Overall, I’d give the food a solid 10/10. For anyone who thinks the portion might look small in photos, don’t be fooled, one plate is actually very filling, so I’d recommend not ordering too much.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very nice, elegant and lively. There was constant conversation around, but it wasn’t noisy or disturbing at all, which made it very pleasant.
The first staff member who assisted me was a very tall woman at the reception (I forgot to ask her name). She was friendly, polite, and very helpful. The main server at my table was Isha, and her service was excellent and professional.
****Reservation is highly recommended. If you don’t book in advance, you may not be able to get a table. When I arrived, I saw two walk-in guests ask the staff if they could dine in, but the staff shook their heads and informed them that the restaurant was fully booked for the day. So it’s best to make a reservation beforehand to avoid disappointment.
A special shout-out to Klevis, who took great care of us throughout the evening. He was incredibly friendly and attentive. His service truly made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
We had the catch of the day, which was seabass and fillet fish, served with delicious accompaniments. For dessert, we enjoyed a fantastic dessert and coffee.
All in all, a very positive experience in terms of service, food, and atmosphere. I can highly recommend this restaurant.
They also have allergen card for people who has dietary restrictions.
We ordered the seafood platter for €144 (two shellfish). It was tasty, but the portion was quite small than we expected for that price. Next time, we would rather order one of those to share and then each have a separate fish dish.
The service was great — our waitress, Tallula, was very friendly and kind. We liked the restaurant a lot. It’s located right in the center of Amsterdam, with an amazing location. We’ll definitely visit again.
It would be wonderful if there were an option to choose the exact table when making a reservation — that would be amazing, as you’d know what to expect.
The seafood was fresh. We also tried the soup of the day and the salmon tartare — both were delicious.
