Of course, all the reviews comment about the palm trees and how cool it is to have a place like this in Grand Rapids but I have to highlight the real stars…the staff. Firstly, All their servers are on top of it, and it’s obvious because their management team are all leaders. However, recently, they hired a new event coordinator and she is awesome. Kelly, you’re such a vibe and I know you’re gonna do big things! I attended the plant giveaway on Friday which benefited a local Animal shelter. I only had a couple hours as I had to work that evening, but we had such a blast And I went home with an amazing plant. Just wanted to let you guys know I see ya and I appreciate ya. Thanks you’re being such a cool place!!!!

We attended Gals night out for Galentines Day and had SO much fun! Painting wine glasses, shopping, drinks, food, and hanging with the girls. Kelly, the organizer of the event was super sweet and did a great job planning such a fun night. All of the staff were helpful, kind, and seemed happy to be there. We can’t wait for another event like this!

If there was less than one star, I would post this for the television at this place. They look like the bowling alley in 1987. They’re dark almost black and white and they will only put the Detroit Lions on one of the seven screens because they’re too worried about everybody else with their fantasy football. What a joke. Even offered to buy a TV in front of the seats that I sit in. If it wasn’t for the wonderful bartenders and the people that we have met here, I probably would never stop foot back in this place. The food is actually quite good if you know what to order best bartenders in the city. See the photos and see if I’m full of it. The hometown Detroit Lions get the smallest TV with a picture that looks like it was in the lower level of the SS minnow.
Edit/update!
I stopped in today to see everyone, and the first thing I noticed right off the bat was the new barstools—every one of them was red. The bartender, who was very friendly, told me they had just been delivered and that today was their first day in use.

My only question is this: why upgrade the barstools if customers are still sitting in front of a row of dark, dimly lit televisions? A couple of the screens are bright enough that the ice during a hockey game actually looks white, but most of them appear as though the stadium lights have been turned off—especially the projector. That’s really my only negative point.

And to be clear, I’m actually a very positive person. The positives here far outweigh the negatives. In the summer, nobody can compete with this place—the live music on the sand is unbeatable. The sign out front proudly says Sports Bar, and they truly live up to that; you can watch practically any sport you want, and they’re great about taking requests. The bar itself is fantastic, with an impressive lineup of beers on tap and plenty of options. Honestly, it’s one of the best places in Grand Rapids. The food, the bartenders, the staff, and even the clientele are five-stars across the board.

With all of that going for them, though, there are still about seven TVs on each side of the bar, many of which are outdated. Because of everything else they do so well, I’m updating my original one-star rating to something much closer to a four. I just really enjoy watching sports on crisp, modern screens.

Love the Vibe at The Score! We always enjoy coming in for drinks, lunch or dinner. It is the best place in town for summer beach vibes. The food is fantastic, the selection of beers & specialy drinks is great. The overall atmosphere with the live music, sand, and all the palm trees is like hanging out in the caribbean!

I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating to acommodate any weather conditions. Outdoor volleyball and other activities. It’s a great venue for birthdays, Bachelor/Bachelorette parties and other gatherings, they have special sections (like the big boat) that you can reserve for your group as well.

Special Shout out to the staff & managers. Everyone does a great job to assure you enjoy your experience, they are friendly and attentive. Ashley (Hostess) does a great job handling the crowd and keeping things organized & moving along. Logan in the kitchen rocks too. our food has been great and cooked to perfection every time. We’ve been lucky enough to have Chloe as a server many times in the past and she is on it. Now, as a manager, (Well deserved!) she seems to do a great job keeping things organized and the staff motivated to provide everyone with a fun experience.

Looking forward to many more visits this summer. Highly recommend a night out (or several) at The Score!

The food was alright. The drinks were strong
My southwest chicken wrap was alright if I didn’t have the honey mustard to put on every bite pretty plain tasting.
My man loved his elote dip he got. But his burnt ends were not good. They were super fatty and tough

Upon arrival, we were pleased to be seated quickly, though our initial impression was that the table hadn’t been wiped down from the previous diners. Thankfully, our waitress was quick to notice and promptly cleaned it for us, which we appreciated.
For an appetizer, we opted for the pickle chips, and they were a definite highlight! They arrived nicely crispy and boasted a generous portion size, making for a great start to the meal.
Our entrees included the summer berry salad and the mahi-mahi. The salad was truly delicious, fresh and flavorful. The mahi-mahi, however, was just okay; while not bad, the accompanying vegetables were actually the star of that dish.
Overall, the service was attentive and the appetizer and salad were excellent. While the mahi-mahi was a bit of a miss, we’d still consider returning for the standout pickle chips and summer berry salad.

Fun, trendy, and lively sports bar with something for everyone, especially when the weather warms up!

Nice choice of menu items that you’d expect to find in a sports bar atmosphere: sandwiches, burgers, etc. Portions are right-sized, jn which will finish your meal and not make you hate yourself for eating too much.

I enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, and I recommend the Steak Fries.

Full bar from spirits to wine or beer, both in bottles or draught.

Prices are typical of what you’d expect, and don’t feel ripped off by what you pay for.

Now for the fun: there is an outdoor sandlot volleyball area with 3 courts going at a time. There are Spring, Summer, and late-Summer leagues – so look for the sign-ups to enter your team, or play as a sub.

The bar also has a beach area, where you can hang out by the lake. You won’t be able to access the lake, however, as the water quality is sketchy.

There is also an enclosed outdoor play area for small kids. Lots of things to climb on and all on a sand surface.

The back area also has a stage for live performances. You won’t find major names on tour, but you will get some really good bands from the area and beyond. Look for the schedule posted at the venue.

The brisket fries were AMAZING. A must get during every visit. The best appetizer I’ve ever had. Trust me on this! The sweet chili traditional wings were delicious. They even reheated well! The service was phenomenal. The waitress even brought over a drink from the bar after it was accidentally poured (checked our ID, of course).

I have not gone during a game day, but I can imagine it would be a very exciting atmosphere.
