The atmosphere felt pleasant and felt like I was in Japan. I got the opportunity to sit in the bar section (my new favorite spot). The food is top quality. The JINYA Tonkotsu Black tastes so good and kicked in that savory spice. My personal favorite order of the all is their Iced Matcha Latte. It’s so creamy, delicious and has a strong matcha fragrance that gave me a wholesome and comfort experience. For suggestion, I would like it to try that drink again with coconut milk, which compliments well with the matcha and good for those with lactose intolerance. If you’re craving for something sweet, I recommend the Matcha Tiramisu, it’s a sweet, bitter dessert and experience that I’ll never forget. I recommend coming back to dine here :).

The place was great and not terribly busy. The ramen is probably my second favourite I have tried in the SLC area, but you do have to pay for each of the individual toppings for your ramen (around 3 USD each). The staff was very attentive and kept up with us even when they were getting busier. What is hard is the place is fairly loud, so conversation is a bit difficult.

Delicious food, but expensive. This location is much more cramped compared to sister locations. Extremely disappointed they discontinued: “Kaedama, 1 free serving of noodles after finishing”. I like the barria ramen, but will search for alternatives since they discontinued 1 free noodles. Expect to spend $30 – $50 a person.

Edit:
Found and snapped a picture. Extremely deceptive on their menu. I thought they would still do 1 free noodle. Had it at 3 stars. Downgrading to 1. It’s a harsh review, but I was really looking forward to my more free noodles and this change was not disclosed ahead of time.

Best ramen I’ve had! I’ve tried places throughout salt lake county and always come back to JINYA! Ask for Abby, she is a lovely server!! Cares a lot about her customers and is always smiling and happy to serve!

Tried JINYA Ramen today and overall the food was really good flavorful broth, fresh ingredients, and we enjoyed everything we ate.

We also ordered a sake flight where you get to choose four selections. We specifically picked ours, including one warm sake. When the flight arrived, the last one wasn’t warm. We asked our server about it and he told us warm sake only comes by the carafe which wasn’t explained when ordering.

When we asked what sake we actually received instead, he couldn’t tell us. I mentioned I was genuinely trying to learn more about sake and would love to know what we were tasting. He guessed “something blossom,” but nothing like that was on the menu, and there wasn’t much effort to clarify or follow up. No apology or acknowledgment of the mixup either.

He was pleasant, but the situation felt brushed off. Especially when we later saw him chatting in the back it would’ve been nice if that time had gone toward checking what was served or communicating with us.

Great food, but service felt a bit dismissed as if it didn’t matter. With just a little more care and communication, the experience would’ve been excellent

Would give this ramen bar a 3.5/5.

Their service was great. They were very friendly and they had the food out in minutes. The appetizer (buffalo cauliflower) was tasty and the ramen was ok. The broth was very spicy and lacked flavor. Tried my partners black tonkotsu because I thought the spiciness was the issue but it was lacking flavor as well. Drinks are pretty pricey too ($11 for a lychee lemonade). Would come back for the service and appetizers but not the ramen.

I absolutely love Jinya Ramen! The food is always amazing, and the staff are spectacular. I have been going to this location for years and they have always made each visit great. I do wish the volume of the music in store could be turned down a bit, as with such a small and busy location it is usually very noisy. The prices are also a bit high, but the food and service make it worth it. Other than this, it is always worth going to Jinya!

Cool place, very limited seating, But a really cool vibe inside and a lot of menu options. It was my first time and I got a pork dish that was something something red and level 5 heat I do well with Mexican heat like grilled jalapenos but this was very hot hahaha But it still had a lot of flavor so I don’t know that I would drop it down a ton maybe just a four instead. We got the edamame, the tuna, the steam buns (they were good but I would probably pass next time), We did a cold sake and then the girls did wine. A fun night trying new things.

Food:
We’re vegan and LOVE this plane! Ompossible Goyoza, Impossible Buns, Seaweed Salad, Flying V Harvest, its all delicious! Cant wait to come back to try the Impossible Rice Bowl next. Yum!

Service:
Ethan has been our waiter both times we’ve come now in 3 days (I told you we loved it) and he is so sweet.

Atmosphere:
You sit next to people (normal asian custom) and we’ve had the pleasure of speaking to people we resonate with. The music is great. The workers are so nice.

All in all, 10/10!
