Edit:
Found and snapped a picture. Extremely deceptive on their menu. I thought they would still do 1 free noodle. Had it at 3 stars. Downgrading to 1. It’s a harsh review, but I was really looking forward to my more free noodles and this change was not disclosed ahead of time.
We also ordered a sake flight where you get to choose four selections. We specifically picked ours, including one warm sake. When the flight arrived, the last one wasn’t warm. We asked our server about it and he told us warm sake only comes by the carafe which wasn’t explained when ordering.
When we asked what sake we actually received instead, he couldn’t tell us. I mentioned I was genuinely trying to learn more about sake and would love to know what we were tasting. He guessed “something blossom,” but nothing like that was on the menu, and there wasn’t much effort to clarify or follow up. No apology or acknowledgment of the mixup either.
He was pleasant, but the situation felt brushed off. Especially when we later saw him chatting in the back it would’ve been nice if that time had gone toward checking what was served or communicating with us.
Great food, but service felt a bit dismissed as if it didn’t matter. With just a little more care and communication, the experience would’ve been excellent
Their service was great. They were very friendly and they had the food out in minutes. The appetizer (buffalo cauliflower) was tasty and the ramen was ok. The broth was very spicy and lacked flavor. Tried my partners black tonkotsu because I thought the spiciness was the issue but it was lacking flavor as well. Drinks are pretty pricey too ($11 for a lychee lemonade). Would come back for the service and appetizers but not the ramen.
We’re vegan and LOVE this plane! Ompossible Goyoza, Impossible Buns, Seaweed Salad, Flying V Harvest, its all delicious! Cant wait to come back to try the Impossible Rice Bowl next. Yum!
Service:
Ethan has been our waiter both times we’ve come now in 3 days (I told you we loved it) and he is so sweet.
Atmosphere:
You sit next to people (normal asian custom) and we’ve had the pleasure of speaking to people we resonate with. The music is great. The workers are so nice.
All in all, 10/10!
