I visited this shop for the first time during Friday lunch. The place was packed and there was a line but I could place my order in advance at home for pick-up. When I got there, mine was not ready yet. The server said he will follow-up on my order, and in the next minute or two, he came back with a brown bag packed with my sandwich choice.
I ordered the young turkey, meatball, and chipotle chicken. My favorite was the young turkey. The sandwich was filled with lettuce, avocado, tomato, and turkey. Ingredients were all fresh and the turkey was thick but tender. Meatball tasted fresh and unique. I did not like chipotle chicken. It was too salty.
Overall, I really enjoyed my first takeout experience here, and I would definitely come back here to try other sandwich as well.

Got the vegetarian banh mi, which i got veganized by removing the mayo. It’s a nice substantial sandwich and very tasty. Just wish there were more vegan dishes on the menu. Seating is very limited though and it was not all that comfortable. As a vienna notary i drive through the area a lot and try to find quick places to stop at.

The food here is delicious and they have veggie options! I’ve been here a few times with my daughter and I’ve been stalling to review because I don’t want others coming to my favorite lunch spot! Sorry, not sorry.
Today I had the vitamin c banh mi (careful, it’s got hot peppers!) and my son had the BLT-A and loved it, my daughter had the mozzarella sticks from the kids menu and we shared some tator tots. And I had a Raised by Wolves amber lager which was super tasty.
The food here is great and the staff is excellent. Go here. (But don’t cause I don’t wanna share.)

Came here for dinner on a Friday evening. We ordered the following sandwiches:
* The Reuben
* The Steak/Cheese
* The Banh Mi
* BLT-A
* Cheesy Bacon Tater Tots
* French Fries
Overall, the best sandwich was the BLT-A. The bacon was nice and crisp, which is a great contrast to the creamy avocado and the tomatoes.
The other sandwiches are good as well, I would say above average.
The cheesy tater tots were a bit too heavy but that is expected. I mean. cheese + bacon + tater tots? of course it’s going to carry some weight.
I do say the fries were really good. Nice and crispy (we ate there, no togo).
Note: parking can be an issue.
Overall, good experience.

Great local sub shop! Love the Turk & Brie. Fun place to visit and delicious subs! Lots of variety in flavor and texture on the menu. It’s always an enjoyable experience, especially with outdoor seating in the warmer months.

Greeted by an army of sandwich makers, The Sandwich Shop is a well oiled machine. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. I came because of the vegetarian options and opted for something I would never normally try: the broccolini and sun dried tomato sandwich. Sometimes this tactic pays off, other times it’s a bust. Regrettably this choice didn’t pay off. I won’t hold it against them too much. It was a risky choice; I guess I don’t like sundried tomatoes as much as I thought I did. The bread however was great, and the atmosphere perfect for a lunch. I’ll try again another day and update the review.

Our favorite sandwiches in NoVA! Their sandwiches are delicious and always stuffed— our favorites are their chipotle chicken sandwich, Italian, and chicken parm. Their chicken salad and tuna salad sandwiches are amazing too.
Highly recommend putting in a mobile order or going as soon as they open because the line can get pretty long, especially around lunch time on the weekends.

Visited late on Saturday morning after hearing about the pork and broccolini sandwich. Atmosphere was lively without being too noisy. A welcome sight was families eating with their kids, especially for a local place. Service seemed efficient and focused. I ordered two sandwiches: a BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado) and a pork and broccolini with double meat. I also got a scoop of the curried chicken salad and the sweet potato puffs. My order was ready in about ten minutes and given to me by a friendly staffer.
The BLTA had a satisfying ratio of the four ingredients along with a good textured and flavored ciabatta. A little less mayonnaise for my taste would have perfected this combination, but overall I would order this sandwich again. The curried chicken salad has plenty of chicken, bright yellow color from the subtle curry flavoring, and enough accents from the raisins to bring everything together. The pork and broccolini was well-proportioned with the double meat and made eating this vegetable rather enjoyable. The pork itself had good flavor and only a touch dry for me. Cheese was just enough for me. I could have used more mustard to lend more sharpness. Like the first sandwich I would order again. The sweet potato puffs have a soft texture and a pleasant flavor. Could they be warmer though?
Good to know where this place sits a block away from Chain Bridge Road nearby a few other familiar names. As long as parking holds available, I can see making return visits for a sandwich fix.

Bare-bones “atmosphere” but no complaints, it was clean and efficient. Outdoor seating available, also some inside tables, stools and small counter at front window. Street parking, limited parking in back. Sandwiches were so good, excellent menu, want to go back again! Beer and beverages available. Service was great, well-run operation.
