Absolutely delicious! Large portions and generous toppings. Yam Yam roll and Miso soup; hot green tea to drink. I went with my son to celebrate college enrollment. Can’t wait to take my wife! Only caveat of note is that they close from 2:30-4:30 so watch out for that.

The service was very quick and friendly, and the general restaurant atmosphere was very nice, especially for as small as the restaurant. The sushi was quite good, and the fried rice was excellent. Their spicy mayo sauce is some of the best that I’ve ever had.

Food was great! Waitress was NOT. She needs an attitude adjustment. You’re working for your tip, Honey!! Had it not been for the waitress, I would definitely give it 5 stars. Pink haired waitress is in the wrong line of work. Customer will have questions. Don’t reply with no. Don’t slam food down. Like I say, waitress ruined the experience.

It was alright. The quality was fine. I wasn’t blown away until the check arrived. I thought it was overpriced for chicken and rice. I doubt that I will return, but I wouldn’t discourage people from trying it.

Was visiting Shreveport for the weekend and ran across this place. At first I was a little skeptical because of the location. Living near Baton Rouge, the sushi restaurants have a different look. The atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxing. Our waiter was so friendly. We actually took a family member to try sushi for the first time. He suggested different things on the menu for her to try. She tried it and loved it! This is byfar my second favorite sushi place.

Sushi gen is one of the best sushi restaurants in bossier, Shreveport area. I am a regular and I have always loved their food and service, however I have noticed that many young people go there and do not tip. For people who do not know servers make 0$ an hour. That 2$ An hour all goes to taxes, if u can’t tip don’t eat!!! if you complain about tipping do not get upset when restaurant food prices go up so that they can pay their staff. I see a lot of young kids come into sushi gen and I feel bad for the servers because of how they are treated. I was once a server myself so that’s why I feel so strongly about this. This is a small town and a small restaurant, it’s sad to see these servers who have been with this restaurant still have to deal with these little kids and sometimes grown adults who simply do not tip.

We had shrimp tempura and a bunch of sushi. Too be honest, I was not expecting a decent Japanese food in the area but i was quite surprised by their quality of food and friendliness. Their seared salmon sushi was on spot!! Would like to go back anytime when I visit shreveport.
