Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It’s brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto’s fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza’s surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant’s proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor.
Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn’t balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus…)
This is must go to restaurant
On our first visit for dinner, it was a bit tricky to find a table, they had space but only offered seats at the bar, which isn’t ideal if you’re not into drinks.
On our second visit for lunch, we were luckier and got a proper table, and the service was much better.
Overall, the food makes it absolutely worth coming back.
We ordered two pizzas, the burrata salad, and a charcuterie board, and everything hit the mark. The pizzas were perfectly cooked, great crust and flavor, the burrata was fresh and creamy, and the charcuterie board was exactly what you’d hope for—quality meats and cheeses done right.
Food came out quick, service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe was casual but lively.
Bottom line: food was mad good, everyone left happy, and I’d absolutely come back.
The pizza, however, was a bit underwhelming. The crust was thin and had a nice bite, but the overall flavor was lacking — it felt like it needed more seasoning or stronger toppings to stand out.
The restaurant itself had a cozy, casual vibe with an open kitchen, and the service was overall fine. For us, the Chicken Piccata is definitely worth ordering again, but the pizza not so much. Overall, I’d give this place 4 stars.
We also ordered the Swiss Chard with scallion cream cheese, fried garlic and chili, with grilled bread, and it was just as impressive. The flavors were bold yet balanced, and the grilled bread paired beautifully with the creamy and savory toppings.
For our main dish, we had a pizza topped with bacon, pepperoni, and cheese — and wow! The flavors truly touched our palates. It was rich, savory, and perfectly baked with just the right amount of crispness and gooey cheese.
Everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!
A huge thank you to Hernan, our waiter, and Angelica, our hostess — you both did an amazing job! Hernan was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out perfectly. Angelica welcomed us warmly and set the tone for a great experience from the moment we walked in.
You both truly made our visit even more enjoyable.
Thank you!
