What a wonderful bistro! We loved everything about this restaurant:
The food was perfectly prepared (even my picky eater wanted more!). The ambiance was lovely inside and out. The owners and staff were all friendly and cared about our experience.

If you’re ever near Hawkinsville, you just have to stop in. Actually, you should make it a destination: Come see a cute little town filled with kind people and enjoy an outstanding meal!

Everything LOOKS good but the textures are so off. I do not recommend any pizza. The crust is uneven and rock hard at some points. The sweet tea however was really good. Unfortunately I can’t say that about anything else.

Wonderful place to eat! They are open for breakfast and lunch, and their menu is phenomenal. I have ate their Portobello Mushroom Sandwich and their Pastrami, and both are very flavorful. They also make pastries and pizzas, so they have plenty of variety. The mood fits a French deli, but it also has a nice mom-and-pop store feel to it. This is a pleasant addition to Hawkinsville’s downtown.

Well, what can I say about this restaurant. The ambiance was dim, with that home cooked feeling. Desserts were displayed wonderfully and were teasing us on the way in. Unfortunately, the food was nothing to write home about. My grilled cheese was pretty dry. Felt like it could have used a marinera base, or the usual tomato soup would have paired nicely. Salad was fresh and crisp with a flavorful thousand island dressing. Very busy, servers were working hard.

A wonderful small town restaurant! The name, “The Rustic Bistro,” is a perfect description of this quaint little eatery. When you walk in, you’re greeted by a comfortable decor that would fit in a book about southern hospitality. It’s a small menu consisting of mostly sandwiches. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and my wife had the three meat grilled cheese. Both were incredible! Hot, fresh, and beautiful! My wife’s sandwich came with homemade potato chips and house made ranch dressing to dip them in. We couldn’t stop eating! We both were happily stuffed and couldn’t clean our plates. Our bill was just under 20 bucks before tip. I’m going to add this to my “favorites.” I can’t wait to go back!!

We randomly stopped here when we were passing through town based on a Google Maps suggestion, and oh my…you have to stop here. The food is absolutely amazing! We got takeout, and the pastrami and French dip sandwiches were both incredibly delicious and huge! Everything tasted so fresh and was cooked to perfection. The onion rings were also a must. The dessert selection was extensive, and we enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie and peanut butter bar. We will be back anytime we’re in this area.

My secret getaway. So relaxing and comforting. Delicious food perfectly prepared no matter what you get, great rustic country ambiance, wonderful customer service from everyone. Coming here for years, and driving from Atlanta because the experience is consistently amazing.

If I could give them more stars I would, a definite 10! This was my first visit but will not be my last. If you’re within 100 miles, you absolutely have to eat here. The staff were incredibly polite and proficient, especially since we were a large last minute group. Amazing. The food is AWESOME and I don’t think I’ve ever seen such generous portions. I usually clean my plate, but my delicious French dip was way too big (super glad to have the leftovers). Then, the deserts. OMG there’s no way you can pick one and I found out the owner/chef makes all of it. Definitely no processed food here. And finally, I don’t know how they make food that great, in the size they give you for such a low price. Average price was $9-$12! My new favorite place and I will drive the 50 minutes from my house to go again.

Excellent food and bakery. Had the special, apple and cheese panini. Outstanding! Very good onion rings and home made potato chips. Sweet tea was delicious. Their bakery goods look so good. Bought too many to take home.
