Food: the flavors are incredible! Omelets are fluffy and juicy, very easy to eat and it makes a great combo with their salsa.
The hash browns are crispy on the outside. Onion rings are fresh and the sweet taste linger within your mouth, but it’s a bit greasy.
Service: the staff is sweet and nice. One thing bothers us is that he check is handwritten and when we pay with credit card the amount didn’t add up. They didn’t mention any credit card fees which is weird.
Ambiance: we searched online and found this place and the moment we arrived we understood why it’s called “The Runway” as it is literally located next to an airplane runway and the interiors are amazing! Very detailed decor including the lights!

The Runway Cafe is a fun diner with great food & service. Homemade favorites with large portions & fair prices. Lots of food options including breakfast, lunch, salads, etc. Friendly, local crowd. We visited on a Sunday and enjoyed the fish & chips. The 3 piece plate was definitely enough to share.

What a cool, “small town” restaurant!!
It’s also family owned and ran.
Just came through to eat, and was welcomed so warmly. The food was fresh, hot, and didn’t have to wait long! The coffee was great too.
100% you have to try it if you come through woodlake, ca.

Great little food joint right at the Woodlake airport. The place was super busy on when we arrived but we were seated right away. I got the bacon, avocado, tomato 3 egg omelette with a side of country potatoes and toasted wheat bread. My husband got the country fried chicken, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Would definitely recommend stopping by ☺️

Was looking for a quick stop on the way to sequoia and this restaurant was amazing!! The food was incredible. Biscuits and gravy was so good. The homemade jam (especially blackberry) was the best I’ve had. The service was quick and friendly, love that it was on a small airport too. Would highly recommend!!

This is an awesome Cafe! It gets packed! Food was great! Service was quick and it is a very presentable establishment! Really recommend eating here if you have an opportunity! Also, you can see some local planes that are right outside their cafe!

What a lovely little joint! Stopped here while going through town into Sequoia to grab a bite and was so happy I picked this place! Super sweet staff, very timely and multiple servicers would check you in/on during your meal, but not so frequently it was annoying. Just very friendly. I guess the name should be a give away but the outside deck has a lovely view of a recreational runway with a few prop propeller planes right outside. I got the breakfast bowl, which was biscuits and gravy, eggs, and bacon (I asked for them separate, weird thing with textures) and it was great. The biscuit was so nice and soft, gravy had some sausage in it and was pretty peppery, but not enough to be overwhelming!
I would definitely come back here if/when I come back to Kings canyon and Sequoia NP!

We ride our motorcycles over from Springville on any Saturday we can the past few months. I always get the waffle with eggs and sausage. It’s so good. Always something going there Saturday mornings. Could be flying go carts. Or airplane rides, or other flying things. Last week it was a group of vintage motorcycles from all over, heading up to the Sequoia National Park. Always like the atmosphere there.

Best authentic American breakfast and brunch spot near Sequoia!
All the dishes were delicious, and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant has a unique location—right next to an airplane runway! The interior is filled with aviation-themed decor, which adds to the charm. We’ll definitely want to go back when we visit Sequoia again.

Nice atmosphere and service.
Big portion sizes. I think it’s a good typical breakfast/lunch place.
