This awesome spot has a very big diverse menu with options from salads to stews to tacos. I recommend you get the 2 Dat option when ordering the tacos as it’s not overwhelming. The champagne is amazing and ideal at $34 a bottle when each class is nine dollars. Emma has got to be one of the kindest people we met while spending time in New Orleans. She’s a genuine, wonderful bartender and one of the reasons we love New orleans is for people just like this. A special note if you are a coleslaw fan this is the place for you. It’s not too oily. It has vinegar and it is wonderfully made. I cannot wait to start my trip here when touring the garden district when I’m here next.

Service was a touch slow starting off, but otherwise great experience. First time here. Always heard how good the tacos were from friends over the years. Husband and I enjoyed every bite we took. Staff was friendly and atmosphere made me feel I had gotten off on a cruise port. Drinks were in point too!

The jerk chicken chopped salad is always a hit for me! There are soooo many tacos to try- non traditional and full of flavor! The drinks are strong! Always a fun time and it’s packed esp for taco Tuesday- beware!

Was impressed with portions at this restaurant. Started out with the Jamaican Beef Patties which had a good combination of heat and sweet. Then we had the Grilled Jerked Red Fish. Outstanding! Great service, too. Recommended!

The Rum House had a fun, tropical energy that made the whole experience feel like a mini getaway in the middle of New Orleans. The décor was colorful and beachy, and the atmosphere was lively without feeling overwhelming.
I tried a couple of tacos and a rum cocktail, and both were full of bold, fresh flavors. The tacos were well-balanced with a nice mix of texture and spice, and the drink was smooth and refreshing. It’s casual food, but done with creativity.
Overall, The Rum House is upbeat, flavorful, and perfect for a relaxed night out with friends — easygoing but still memorable.

I went for lunch on a Saturday . The food was so delicious , I got 4 tacos , 2 shrimp and 2 fish , they were amazing , plus ripe plantains and empanada , everything was so tasty , nice balance in spices and flavor .
The service was also really good , I got a table pretty quick next to a window , very bright and cozy area.
Finally got a dessert so yummy .
I recommend The Rum House

Decided to come here on a Sunday afternoon (party of 9). They were able to seat our large party fairly quickly (20 mins). The service was professional and the food was served quickly. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. (The plantains were delicious!) If I had one complaint it would be the cleanliness of the bathrooms & the limited availability, as there is only one stall for men and one stall for women (expect an occasional line). Overall, I would recommend checking this place out if looking for a quick & casual bite to eat.

The food here is top of the line I can’t get over the fact that I ordered 4 different tacos and it came out in like 5 minutes! It was like fast home cooked soup food or something never experienced anything like it before! The patty and plantains are delicious as well and I loved the art all over the place the ambiance was really giving New Orleans hometown gem!
