Excellent services from the staff!
However, we wished for more communication and attention to the needs of the customers from the chef. They didn’t honor our food service request and didn’t communicate the menu item that’s not available. We have been planning the special dinner a few months ago.
The hamachi crudo was absolutely delicious. The tuna and caviar was also a bit. The Caesar salad wasn’t great.
The steaks were all wonderful and cooked very nicely, as was the short rib. The steaks were served with little salads that had a green dressing which none of us liked, but that’s a very small complaint. The steaks themselves were excellent.
For sides, the green beans were the unexpected hit. Very delicious! The carrots were wonderful, maybe slightly undercooked but not enough to be a problem. The loaded baked potato was also a big hit, we ordered two. We were too stuffed for desert.
The menu does change – my in-laws were very disappointed that two items they loved, the branzino and the pork chop, were not available, so if you’re coming back and looking forward to something, maybe check the menu online, although I’m not sure if the online menu is kept up to date.
The cocktails were very good, and there’s a good list of wines available by the glass too.
Parking is valet only and with validation is 18 dollars.
The side dishes were also impressive. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy, and the portions were generous—easily enough to share between two people. For dessert, the bread pudding was the perfect sweet ending: warm, comforting, and absolutely outstanding.
If you’re looking for a top-tier steak dinner with excellent service and memorable flavors, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!
a vintage champagne name Rare and a bottle of wine from Saint Emilion in which there was only 2 in his cellar! How did he know we just came back from Bordeaux in November? The Beluga caviars was delicious and the truffle A5 Wagyu beef melts in your mouth like the one we ate in Japan May 2024… if you want an special evening to celebrate that important occasion, be sure to ask for Alan so that he can made sure it will be a lovely evening you will never forget!! By the way, our waiter Ben was just awesome!
Everyone from the hostess to food runners were amazing. Our table ordered at least 15 different dishes and everyone i tried was superb.
This is one of those places where I’d absolutely recommend going to regardless of if you’re staying at the Langham Pasadena or not. It’s a must try if you’re in the area.
We ordered the beet salad, pan seared salmon and the brownie. The portion sizes are small. Bread was so fresh but unfortunately they ran out of it very quickly. Lavender lemonade is something I would definitely go back for. Excellent atmosphere and fantastic experience. One to cherish for!
