The Royal Stag walks the line of both casual & fine dining, with a bar menu that includes both. Our dining room Winter hours are 12-7pm Thursday-Sunday. Our bar Winter hours are Thursday 4-9pm and Friday/Saturday 4-10pm. The bar has tv’s, a pool table, darts & juke box. We offer Bingo in our banquet room on Thursdays from 6-9pm. Our banquet room is also available to rent for meetings & private parties. Reservations for the dining are not required but are recommended, especially for large groups. We hope you’ll join us!

Food was pretty good but the service was beyond terrible. We arrived at straight up noon when they opened. The waitress took our order quickly but took 40 mins to receive our food which was pretty good, but she never came back to check on us. Never refilled our drinks. My wife tried to ask for tatar sauce, but she just wouldn’t return. I had to go the front to get our check which took 15 mins in itself. Food is good, service sucked

The food was incredible. The presentation was stunning and they highlighted some locally sourced food.
I loved the green walls and light fixtures- just be sure to watch your head, they’re hung a bit low! Seems like a great spot to come back to for breakfast and a little people watching.

Just doing a day trip with some hiking and stopped by the town of Fossil. Came across this really nice restaurant, one of two in the town. Food was delicious, service was friendly. I had the fish and chips, would definitely order that again. My husband had the bratwurst, finish the plate, thoroughly enjoyed it as well.

Had the deep fried pickles (which kind of fell apart but was very tasty) and the Reuben Sandwich with great onion rings. Highlight were the Tiger Town brews on tap, which are brewed on site. Service was great!

The man working the bar alone last night unlocked the doors to the restaurant so our family with kids could eat after a breakdown near fossil. He was amazingly hospitable and the food was great!! Fresh salad with veggies, even bell peppers!! If you’re headed East, stop for lunch at the Royal Stag in Fossil!!

The service was on point and we loved the atmosphere. Would love to have given them 5 star s except for one problem. While my pulled pork sandwich and my cousins burger were out of this world, the onion rings were so salty we had to pick the batter off before we could eat them. Now my cousin and I love salty food. But this was overly salty. All you could taste is the salt. We just wont order them the next time.
