We decided to eat here because of the reviews.
Horrible idea. The place is small, more bar than tables; we had to give our cell number and go back and sit in our car for 30 minutes.
The waitress; Heather was very nice and accommodating. We had a party of 6, my mother took a few bites of her Philly Cheesesteak and informed that it was “very salty” so I took a sample of the meat and yes, it was very salty, the other 2 people in our party also stated that the Philly Cheesesteak was in fact salty. Well the owner came over and informed my mother that there has never been a complaint before however she decided to refund her cheesesteak. I thought the statement was rude because it really was salty. The Maryland Crab soup was cold, but I ate it all. The house side salad was fresh but ALL spinach. The Old Bay wings were okay; just overly seasoned. My nephew said his cheeseburger tasted weird. My daughter loved the slice of chocolate cake for $9.99. Overall the place is really small, the staff is okay, the service was okay. The owner was not quite understanding and more oh well. Our waitress was nice.
I would not ever come back. Trust me, I do not mind paying money for good food eating out. I felt like a bill for $158 was a waste and we were not satisfied at all. The gratuity was add; it was $27.

My family visited on Christmas Eve. The owner greeted us with a smile and seated up promptly.
The restaurant was nice and clean. It even had a really nice bar with TVs to watch sports. Also, the bathroom was clean and I loved the sign above the door!
Our server was excellent. She provided recommendations and serve was fast and was attentive to all our needs.
We ordered the italian cold cut, steak-n-cheese, meatball sub, and big bird sub, with fries, tater tots and/or chips. Everyone loved our food!
The Rowdy Rooster is a must stop when you’re on your way to Deep Creek or Wisp Resort. Trust me…you won’t regret it.

We enjoy this place…seems like it’s for the locals, small place. Has indoor & outdoor seating and seating around a big bar. Owners are very friendly. We go here every time we come to Deep Creek. Good food and reasonably priced. Nice size portions. If you like sports…they have tv’s.

Wings were very good, steak quesadilla also very good. Side salad a very nice large size. Buf chicken app was tasty but definitely could have been better melted and heated. Great drink prices on the Tue our group was there.

First off, our waitress (Heather) was very nice and helpful and definitely knew how to wait tables. Now the food was really delicious and generous portions. Had some wings, steak sub, salad, and haddock sandwich. All was very good. Would definitely recommend this place. PS it was my wife and I not just me eating all that.

Im from PG County on a family getaway to Deep Creek. I was originally going to go to Mountain State Brewery. I changed my mind and decided to go to this place that had a particular person attached to it. I met Cathy and OMG. She runs this place perfectly. Come here if your in Deep Creek. She and the restaurant will satisfy your food and atmospheric needs.

We met friends for dinner last night and had wings, crab dip/pretzel, meatball sub, and fries. Everything was amazing! We loved the garlic buffalo wings – just the right amount of heat. Finished off the night with some orange crush drinks that were mixed perfectly! Tonight was our first trip there but definitely won’t be the last!

Food was definitely excellent. Great portions for the price. Owners and waitress were all very nice and seated us promptly. We live about 2 hours away but this is our son’s new favorite place to eat. Will be back in about 2 weeks for his birthday.

Sandwiches were delicious and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. They have the best Coca-cola in the lake area (it’s crispy IYKYK). The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. There’s plenty of parking too.
