Elegant, good quality high tea at Neiman Marcus. Good variety of sandwiches, sweets and scones. Plenty of food to fill you up. 4 or 5 choices of teas to choose from. Great views of union square. A tad on the slow side on service but pretty friendly staff. Price is righ on with other high teas. The only thing that bothered my is that they automatically add 20 percent tip to your ticket. Overall, a good high tea experience.

The Rotunda is an experience! We went here for birthday lunch, and were in awe of the elegant interiors. The stained glass dome along with golden embellishments on tall white pillers, makes this place perfect to celebrate special occasions. I requested to be seated at a window while making reservations, and it was duly noted by the staff. Our view overlooking Union Square on a chilly rainy afternoon (we love trains) set the tone for a perfect intimate romantic celebration. They served soup of the day and the fluffiest cloud-like bread I’ve ever had, a must try indeed. For starters, we split the Cesar salad with shrimps, good quantity and good taste. For main course we had the striped bass and grilled chicken. The bass was very good; the combo of peas and asparagus, lightly soaked in their special sauce, added to the taste of the fish. The chicken was ok, slightly dry, but the adornments it was served with made up for the dryness. Our server was very polite and attentive to our requests and selections. We will certainly be going back here for their elegant afternoon tea spread.

Everything was delicious! Amazing service and very friendly staff. We went here for a late lunch while we were in the onion square area.. we were lucky enough to get a reservation last min.. We seated immediately in a table by the window. The only thing i did not like about the seating was the tables were places very close together and we had really loud neighbors..

Had lunch here on a weekday. The City of Paris glass is beautiful as is the view here. Generally shabby menus. Service was hit or miss. Great service at first but disconnected when the food came and our table was still full of other plates. Broth is delicious and popovers were a pleasant surprise. Food was overpriced but good (not amazing by any means) I hear the tea service is excellent.

I was there for lunch and had a good experience! The view is beautiful and the food tastes delicious. They serve you a free chicken broth at the beginning and their delicious popovers. The reason I deducted a point because I think the price is too expensive for the food. Overall it’s good, but it’s like another typical posh restaurant that you only need try once or twice in your life.

An absolutely beautiful place to have a brunch. Everything was delicious especially the Tuna Tartare and truffle fries. The Dungeness Crab melt was absolutely exceptional as well. Will definitely come back.

We had the Afternoon Tea at Rotunda last week. I’d recommend making a reservation ahead of time, especially to get the seats by the window overlooking Union Square. The afternoon tea set is $54 per person, so it’s not inexpensive. But the atmosphere, settings, service and the food make it all worth it. The popover with strawberry butter is as good as everyone says it is. It’s a good combination of savory and sweet delights. We easily spent an hour and half enjoying the service, the food and the ambient. It was quite an experience and a perfect way to spent an Friday afternoon.

Really great experience overall – we called ahead for window seats and Anthony delivered! Also we were all vegetarian and they had quite a few options for us – the daily soup happened to be vegetarian and it was the best. The service by Richard was so great and the ambience of course was beautiful.
