I loved the food options and mimosa flavor flights. We loved the pancake flights too. The chicken and waffles my daughter ordered were amazing. She loved it. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was very nicely seasoned. My husband got a veggie scrambler. He enjoyed it too.
The service was great. The waitstaff was very attentive.

Delicious breakfast. Place is always busy. Had the seasonal pancake flight today! So good! Apple pie, blueberry pie and cherry pie flavored! Corned beef hash cooked perfectly.

Always a treat! We’ve been nunerous times and the food and service is always top notch. Roots gives small town vibes with friendly service and a intimate venue but big city vibes on the menu and quality. And if it all looks good and you can’t decide thats okay! I called ahead to arrange a birthday breakfast for my mom, and Jen, who works there, went above and beyond. She reserved a cozy window table, decorated it with a birthday sign, balloon, and even placed the fruit bouquet I had delivered right at her spot. The personal touch and care were extraordinary.
My mom had the shrimp and grits and couldn’t stop raving about it. The shrimp were juicy and flavorful, and the grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned true Southern comfort on a plate.
Jen treated my mom like family. In fact, she said it herself: “I always treat customers how I’d want my family to be treated.” That’s rare, and it makes this place truly special.
We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for any special occasion or just a great breakfast in Melbourne!

We went this morning after see they had good reviews. I was so excited about the pancake flights they looked good but the pancakes were so rubbery we could hardly cut it with the butter knife. They tasted like Bisquick pancake mix that was cooked too long. So we didn’t even finish them due to them being too hard to eat. My husband had the chicken and waffles and it was only one small waffle and one piece of chicken it was like a child size portion. Then comes the service. We sat down and ordered our food when we ordered drinks due to the waitress taking a while to come to our table they were busy so we understood that part, but there was two tables that were sat a good 10 minutes after us who ordered well after us and they got their food a good 10 minutes before us. We waited probably 30-40 minutes for our food. The waitress that took our order didn’t come back except to bring the check we had get more drinks from another waitress. I don’t know if they were having an off day but it was not a good experience and that’s disappointing.

The Roots Restaurant Tavern was absolutely wonderful! They were incredibly accommodating while hosting a large group from the Brevard County Women Social Club, and everything from start to finish was phenomenal. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations.
We highly recommend supporting this amazing small business—especially for group gatherings. We’re already looking forward to coming back and hosting another fun event here. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire Roots Restaurant Tavern team! (And yes, we were so busy enjoying the food, drinks, and great company that we forgot to take photos—but that alone says it all!)

A great experience everytime! Just had a work holiday brunch here and was treated wonderfully by the staff and owner. The atmosphere is charming with lots of attention to detail. But the best part is the food. Hands down the best breakfast in town with surprisingly fair prices. Highly recommend!

Cute, cozy restaurant located in the downtown area with great selection of breakfast options, indoor and outdoor seating!
We ordered white mocha cappuccinos, country fried steak and eggs with potatoes and side of bacon, as well as Chicken and Waffles with spicy syrup. The steak wasn’t over cooked and crunchy on the outside with a savory gravy on top. The Chicken was tender inside, perfectly seasoned and crispy outside, plus the spicy maple syrup balanced the savory chicken. The waffle was soft and sweet, and the crunchy bacon….lets just say both were absolutely delicious
Our server, Jen, gave excellent service! Promptly greeted us, food came out quickly and she anticipated our needs like extra napkins, etc before we asked.
The 2 cappuccinos, 2 meals and tip was about $47, but we thought it was absolutely worth it!

This place is super cute! I was in the area & craving stuffed french toast. Google suggested here. I was able to see from the menu online that they had custard toast so I came over. It was delicious, fresh, and not-too-sweet. My server Anastasia was so kind & attentive. She brought water to the table immediately upon greeting me. She had a fabulous attitude with a group that I personally think were being difficult customers. And I heard her discussing menu options with another man who sat after me. Excellent service.
