This is the MOST local A&W type location you can get! All food is MTO and surfaces are cleaned and disinfected every 15 minutes. They hold high standards for food, cleanliness and customer service. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a good sandwich or dog, and don’t want the wallet shedding tears. Root Beer Shack, we will be back!

The atmosphere was absolutely comfortable and nostalgic! This was my first time visiting. I had two hot dogs, one with sweet and one with spicy sauce. I highly recommend them. Also, what sets these hot dogs apart are the grilled buns! Don’t get me wrong, the sauce is fantastic, but the grilled buns put this hot dog over the top! The slaw on the dogs are a nice touch to cool the heat of the spicy dog!

Blew me away! Tons of variety and all made fresh. DOGS BURGERS APPITIZERS and the Mug Rootbeer plain frosted or floats. All to die for. This was my 1st time here. We had 5 dogs and loaded fries and 2 floats and one frosty. All for under 25 dollars. In a cozy open dining area. So much we could eat everything

This is a great place in the hot dogs and french fries in the drink was great Best hot dogs I ate and long time I definitely will go back again and again and again it’s a great place. You want to visit you have to go before 4:00. They close at 4:00 p.m.

Good family vibes good prices and atmosphere. I like the variety of hotdog toppings. Pro’s the sun dog (peanut butter bacon banana peppers) was awesome.I loved the toasted hot dog rolls too. The loaded potato wedges were great. Con’s the Mackey Mountain Burger was a disappointment. There is a difference between lightly toasted bread and grilled. The Mackey Mountain Burger was lightly toasted on the grill nothing like a grill cheese sandwich . I’ll put a side by side picture of what I got and what the menu showed and the replacement to go burger. They did try to make things right. Before we left they did give us another Mackey burger but it was like eating a cheese burger with 4 pieces of bread. That being said we came Saturday at lunchtime and they were extremely busy just trying to get food out. I would go back but tell them to make the grill cheese like the picture ( what a normal grilled cheese is like) in my opinion not lightly toasted. You can clearly see in the first picture how white the bread was.

Cute spot. Menu is printed on 2 pieces of paper so it’s hard to look at the menu if it’s busy (I used my phone). Lots of hot dog choices! O Rings are not the nice thick type sadly. They use MUG root beer not A&W and don’t use frosted mugs. Food is made fresh, friendly staff! They close at 4 sadly. Place stayed busy till close!

My girlfriend and I went here for lunch after swimming at the park. Hands down the best hotdogs I’ve ever had. I got the West Virginia dogs and my girlfriend got the Sauce dogs and ricotta bites. We will definitely be back.
