Madison B was our server she was so sweet and attentive. I didn’t feel like we were interrupted in our conversations when she checked in but also didn’t feel like we were ignored her timing was perfect. The food was amazing. I love thier potato cakes and maple pecan bacon so much. The French toast was delicious and filling. I cant wait to come back

This is one of the greatest restaurants in Kansas, absolutely delicious eggs benedict with the potatoes and a side of biscuits and gravy. EVERYTHING was finger licking Good and cooked to perfection. The waitress was sweet and helpful and a delight to have breakfast with. I only had to wait 5 to 10 minutes and I was eating alone and they had the perfect table for me. I did have to pay for parking.

Came for breakfast on a Sunday — we got seated quickly, even though they were busy. We got waters immediately, our server was attentive but not overbearing. Food was INSANELY good and brought out really promptly, the biscuits and gravy brought me back to having my best friend cook them from scratch in her kitchen. Everything was clean, staff all seemed friendly and helpful, and prices were super fair. We live in Topeka, but we’ll definitely be back again!

Solid brunch place on Mass street. We arrived at about 12:30 and waited about 20 minutes. The place was packed and even though there are few servers, they were attentive and welcoming. Food was great, absolutely loved their in house salsa!
Definitely will go back next time I visit Lawrence.

We went in with 16 people and baby in our party. They got us in right away. Our server Alaura was FANTASTIC! She was very attentive. She kept our drinks full. All of our food came out at the same time and we didn’t have to wait for long. Top notch staff and top notch chefs in the kitchen. If you want a good brunch spot, this is the place. The French toast is as big as your head and the bloody Mary’s were spot on!

I used to really love The Roost — it was my go-to breakfast/brunch spot when I first moved to Lawrence. Sitting at the bar as a single diner was always easy and enjoyable. Lately, though, it’s become so packed and loud that it’s hard to enjoy the experience, and the prices don’t feel worth it anymore. My last visit left me especially turned off: I wanted a simple takeout order, but they turned me away hours before closing due to the crowd, even though I’d been told takeout would be fine. I don’t hate them for being successful, but with other spots like Milton’s offering more options at better prices, I’ve moved on. Goodbye, Roost.

If you want the perfect cup of coffee, Tatum, Taylor, or Sue will have it dialed in for you. Let Arie get your seat of choice and Stephanie is simply the sweetest waitress in town. My wife and I haven’t had a bad breakfast at the Roost with so many options it’s truly impressive that the cooks keep pumping out the best breakfast options in town. Great atmosphere makes this another Lawrence MUST go to spot. Excellent food coffee drinks (Bourbon Clover) service and atmosphere. A Lawrence original.

The pastries like there muffins and cinnamon rolls are to die for! There pancakes and biscuits are my favorite tho. Definitely if you are hungry come to this place and you won’t be disappointed.
