Great new spot! Stopped in for drinks and apps during their soft opening. Awesome chicken tenders and we also loved the pretzels with everything seasoning. We came by again for drinks over the weekend and enjoyed the blueberry margarita – with fresh blueberries! Great bar out back with live music too, and plenty of TVs to catch the Phillies game.

This is the second time I’ve ordered your Burrata and Fig Salad and both times — no figs. First time you threw in cucumber and blueberries. Tonight it was sliced apples. No one bothered to mention that the salad wouldn’t actually include figs.
If you’re going to serve a Burrata and Fig Salad without figs, the very least you can do is inform your customers.
This is completely unprofessional and misleading.

I went to The Rook on Saturday, 11/29 for an early dinner with my boyfriend, and we had such a great experience! The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially considering the sudden rush. The guys bartending and serving were so sweet, personable, and attentive.
When I came on here to share how much we enjoyed our visit, I was honestly shocked to see some of the negative reviews. Despite how crowded it was, the staff did a wonderful job making us feel taken care of. It’s unfortunate that some people don’t show enough respect for those working in the restaurant industry.
Shoutout to our server, Joe — he was amazing! We’ll definitely be back to The Rook, and we’re especially looking forward to returning this summer. The food and drinks were fantastic too!

Soft opening success. Great experience on a Saturday night. The staff made us feel welcome during a very busy dinner time. Extensive menu. Something for everyone. The food was wonderful!

We were giving a Xmas discount card while we were at a local event decided to give the place a try. When we entered we stood at the hostess stand, no one acknowledged us. I went to waitress to and asked if we e can sit anywhere, she said yes. We were not given any menus so after a bit, we went and got our own. Eventually, the waitress came
Over and took our drink and food order. We sat and sat and sat for about 35-40 min. I got up to find the waitress who was folding silverware and I said I know you guys are busy but can we at-least get our drinks? She can to table because she has no recollection of what we ordered. She can over with the drinks and I asked her is our food ordered was placed. She said she just put it in. That was it….if you have time to fold silverware you have time to check in your tables and realize that they’ve been sitting so long with no drink. Maybe your staff should write down the orders or have an ordering tablet. Also why go to an event to give out your cards when you clearly are not able to accommodate a table of 3? I asked out and when down the street where we were taken care of immediately.

Had the best time at the Rook. Live music, fabulous service, great smash burgers, all-around great. I celebrated my birthday on the patio with friends AND the staff that I didn’t know before last night. You won’t be disappointed! Shout out to manager Amy and server Hanah. And amazing music by Riley! definite must try!

Food was decent. Tried wings, pretzels, and chicken sandwich. Don’t go for football though. They don’t put the sound on and only play country music. I guess they are trying to be the Honky Tonk 2? Saw several people come in and leave when they didn’t hear the game on. No real need to return other than it’s a block away from us. If only Irene’s hadn’t run itself out of business.

Family of four – we loved our dinner at The Rook. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. My cutlet sandwich was very tasty and even my 6 year old, who is a cutlet snob , ate every last bite of his kid’s meal. And the drinks – worth a trip for them alone. My wife had the bananas foster martini that was amazing and I did a flight of the crush cocktails, each one better than the last. It was decided The Rook is on the ‘must go’ Wildwood list for us!

The staff couldn’t be nicer, but I only reason I’m placing this review is because I think they should know that their crab cake tastes like it came from the freezer at Dollar General.
Honestly, I couldn’t see or taste any crab in that sandwich. Absolutely tasteless.
Get a better crab cake and just change more.
