You call them hot pressed sandwiches and we call them Tortas. Crispy Tortilla Crusted Chicken, Slow Roasted Pork, Tender Braised Beef, and Vegan Chorizo are just some of our Tortas. Rio Rapids under the new management is an absolute gem! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and refreshingly honest. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the table-side guacamole is a must-try—fresh, flavorful, and made to perfection right before your eyes.

Ordered a bowl with chicken they didn’t give me chicken. Good thing I checked my order, they put a brown sauce on it that I didn’t order. My son didn’t get his two toppings, husband was missing a white sauce. Will never go to this place again. Food didn’t taste good either. Waste of money.

These were the best vegan tacos I’ve ever had. The crispy cauliflower with melted vegan cheese and whatever magic sauce they used was the tastiest combination I could dream of. Unfortunately found this place on a road trip so can’t go back very often, but I’m counting the days until I can. Only waited about 10 minutes for our food and the place was a vibe. The only bad thing about this place was I could’ve eaten 3x as much. It was that good.

I had been to Rio Salado, but never noticed Rio Rapido on the other side of the restaurant towards the bottom. This is way better than the restaurant in my opinion. They have burritos, tacos, and tortas, which are made fresh and ready to go. I recommend the carnitas torta and a lime jarrito. Will definitely be back!
