Such smooth coffee and attention to detail at this cozy coffee shop right outside the Stowe downtown. Great Sugar Shack and Maple and Cardamom Latte. Both are a tad too sweet, but they’re so creamy and made with local maple syrup, it’s worth treating yourself. Wasn’t as much a fan of their GF biscuit, but I’m not gluten free. Shoutout to Alyssa who was so generous and helpful with drink recs and town excursions as we explore Vermont on our trip! Also, those little stool seats are deceptively comfy 🙂

5 stars!!!!

The is the best coffee shop and roastery ever. They understand the balance between the art and the science required to make world-class coffee. Personal tip: get outside your coffee comfort zone and try one of the wild coffee pour-overs and let them take you on a coffee journey. Try the coffee hot, warm and cold and explore how it changes and expresses itself differently along the way.

We have been following the owners’ YouTube channel for many years and watched them purchase and set up the Roastery and coffee shop. On visiting New England from the UK, we had to make a pilgrimage there and were so glad that we did. The coffee, hot chocolate and staff are amazing. We bought some of their coffee beans and they even ground them for us. Would highly recommend a visit there.

Wow! Impressed. Best coffees we had all week. Quality. Perfectly mixed. Employees had good, friendly vibes. They gave us suggestions in the area for antique shopping. Loved the beautiful fresh cut flowers on the counter.

Movement Coffee Roasters quickly became our go-to spot during our stay in Stowe. We loved it so much we went multiple times a day! Every cup of coffee was spot-on: the pour overs were perfectly balanced and flavorful, and the lattes were smooth, rich, and beautifully made.

Their breakfast sandwiches were an unexpected highlight, delicious and gluten-free! It’s not always easy to find gluten-free options that taste this good, but Movement nailed it. The food, coffee, and welcoming vibe made each visit feel like a treat.

If you’re in Stowe and love great coffee and good food, do yourself a favor and stop by The Roastery. You’ll probably find yourself going back again (and again) like we did!

What an amazing coffee shop! We have been going here for the past few years every time we visit Vermont. The baristas are so friendly and always willing to answer any questions we have about the different types of coffee beans. Our most recent visit one of the owners made our pour overs and man, were they good! He was so kind to answer all of our questions and nerd out over coffee for a bit. This is a must if you are going anywhere near Stowe!

One of the only coffee shops we have found in the United States that offers Panama Geisha coffee. Very well done. We saw a sign for a rare coffee tasting / brewing workshop, we signed up and it was very informative. The man who taught it actually competes in coffee competitions. He shared really good information and was good about answering my questions.

Visited twice both experiences memorable and enjoyable. Pepper jam breakfast scone/ sandwich a must choice any filling bacon, egg, mushroom, tomato!! Highly recommended coffee handcrafted individually, the waiting period to be served can be long but worth it! Appreciation for high quality coffee, beans roasted and served to perfection. Go for it you won’t be disappointed. Minimal seating area inside, benches nearby by parking lot.

We love to find local independent coffee shops and especially ones that also do their own roasting so this was a treat. Really love what they’re doing here with sharing quality coffee and having such a good variety of coffee to choose from. They have many pourover options and I chose a cool Costa Rican natural anaerobic that was so flavorful and juicy. It was called Cherry Starburst and I liked it so much I bought a bag. My wife got a decal oat latte and enjoyed her drink as well. Very friendly staff and great service. Highly recommend!
