Service was excellent. Employees were always checking on me to see if everything was the way I liked it. My burger was cooked fresh and was warm and juicy on my plate when I ate it. I also tried the wings and the meat basically fell off the bone.

We had the worst meal I’ve had in a long time here. I had burnt ends that were dry and tasted like they’d been in the refrigerator for days. The green beans were straight from the can and tasted metallic. My husband’s chicken breast was both dry and so tough as to be inedible. The French fries were also cold, dry and hard. My brien- and-serve roll looked liked it had been baked in a microwave. The wait for the food was way too long. It was a stupendous waste of money, and I hope this review saves someone theirs.

The pics posted are from the old restaurant they owned. Take took over the bulldogs BBQ. bulldogs bbq was really good but since the new owners and new name, it is one of the worst place I’ve been too. All the meats are cold, everything is so bland. The decor is very random, plants everywhere and reminds me of a grandmas house. Would not recommend.

We entered ‘The Roadrunner Grill’ into Siri, but we were directed to a burger joint instead. The nice guy at the burger joint told us they had moved up the road about a half mile. When we arrived there, the sign said Touchdown BBQ. We decided to eat there anyway. My husband ordered the pork BBQ sandwich and 2 sides. I ordered the brisket meal with 2 sides. My husband’s sandwich had a top and bottom bun that were soaked completely wet. He couldn’t even lift off the bun, he had to scrape it off. My brisket looked exactly like ground beef. I could eat it only by drenching it in mustard. We both ate only a few bites, then threw the remainder away. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a worse restaurant, ever! Totally gross food. Our 2 meals cost $34 – the receipt said ‘The Roadrunner Grill’. The server was very kind.

Came in with a large group for all you can eat crab. It was extremely hot & uncomfortable in the restaurant. The food was AWFUL. There wasn’t enough food for everyone to get a plate. We decided to pay for the few who got a plate & go somewhere else. At $30+ per person, you would expect MUCH better quality. It was almost laughable how bad the food was. Shrimp, fish, crab, baked potatoes. All horrible. Crab was SO dry.

Surprisingly large restaurant with a good atmosphere. Food is average. Great kids menu only complaint is their corn dogs were way overcooked. Fries were excellent. Wife and I had shrimp plates. Several of the shrimp still had shell on them and the beans are obviously out of a can. If you’re looking for something new to try in Artesia this is another option. Breakfast is served all day. Service was a little slow but the wait staff was kind, glass was never left more than half empty and they were more personable than other restaurants in town.

The food is so good. I don’t understand why this place isn’t super busy. Probably the best food that isn’t in a home kitchen in the entire area. Hands down. Soooooooooooooooooooo good. People are missing out. I’ve had the biscuits and gravy. Very good. I also had the French toast. So good. The syrup seemed nearly flavorless but it’s forgiven. My husband gets the breakfast burrito. It’s a monster. I am super judgmental when it comes to biscuits and gravy in restaurants. The biscuits are really good. Fluffy and soft. Gravy isn’t homemade from what I can tell but it doesn’t taste like cheap packaged.
