The Riverwind Casino Christmas buffet in Norman was awful this year! The prime rib was dry as a bone! The peel and eat shrimp was soft and mushy…hardly anything on the salad bar, only ham, dried prime rib and a baked fish for the entrées…. The rest of the buffet was just potatoes, rice and vegetables. And, the website said they would be open from 11 to 5 but when we got there, they didn’t open until 2:00 pm.
Perhaps they have a new chef, but I’ll never go back again for their Christmas buffet….price was $60 for two people.

Yellow mashed potato no butter in them. Oatmeal looked like mortar, dessert tasted like little Debbie, The meat tasted like it came from a microwave. Plain white bread, sandwich bread,no rolls. Pork “ribs” were literally nothing but bones, idk where they even bought that meatless of bones. They looked pre eaten off of. Chocolate pie tasted like canned pudding from school. Corn and green beans where the only veggies except for Walmart salad mix. It was like eating at a motel room. Not a hotel restaurant, just in some random guys motel room. Hamburgers and hot dogs were even bad.

Much better choice of steak this time. Love coming to the steak night Friday nights at the River Buffet inside Riverwind Casino. Such a selection to choose from and it all tastes amazing. The servers are always so friendly.

Just…..dont. This is probably the worst food i have ever had. The great thing about a buffet is there is usually always something there that is good-not in this case. Chicken fried steaks were so hard i needed a sawzall, the green beans looked like they had been there for days, and most of the food was barely even warm. I’m not sure how you can manage to mess up a baked potato and bagged gravy-but they did prove that it IS possible.

Food is horrible, sits too long, over cooked, not enough for the price! No taste, get more for your money at Texas Roadhouse ( and much better steaks!) Or for buffet, Golden Corral! I was under the impression it was a high-end restaurant that you dressed up for…Nope, not this place. People were dressed like they were at Denny’s. Barely any food selections on the buffet! Do not go! Not worth your time and definitely not worth your money!!!!

We will eat at this buffet on a Saturday afternoon whenever we have a coupon . I would say the buffet items are mediocre. This time I could only eat two buckets of the crab legs, so i wasn’t able to eat my money’s worth. They were overcooked, which made them really chewy. When I tried bending them to open, they would not snap in half, so the meaty portion would not come out whole.The buffet items, surprisingly, tasted better than the crab legs….a rare occasion.

We arrived at opening for the day. We were able to eat breakfast or lunch. We had breakfast. The food was okay. Service was fine. Food is overpriced. $24 each for our meal.

• Cajun-style Steam Pot
• Clam Chowder
• Beer Battered Fried Cod
They only serve crab legs and Cajun style cod and had cocktail shrimp and others but not the rest that they say they serve, so it really wasn’t worth 2 hour wait and $40 dollars for the buffet. Plus the plate ware majority had dirty spots and we asked for hot water and the water pots were dirty too(as pic shows). I could not be more disappointed. Do not recommend, tho staff was really nice.

Outstanding!! They remodeled, a new chef, and new management. GM Kyle is on top of things. His new Chef knows his stuff. Wait staff and food service staff very accommodating. Worth the money for a great buffet.
