We are a family ran cafe and event venue that strives to foster joyful community by providing quality service, food and drink. From our locally sourced menu to our commitment to excellence in every bite, our team is there to serve the city that we love. To compliment our offerings, we humbly hone our craft in a century old stone church with beautiful out-door seating. Our house roasted espresso and hand made baked goods can be enjoyed in the garden that grows some of our ingredients. Weather you are planning your dream wedding or dreaming of a great brunch we would love to be a part of it.

The food was incredible. My husband said the biscuits were the best he’s ever had, which makes sense given their WiFi password is a tribute to them. I had the black bean patty with avocado and egg, and it was delicious. For drinks, the vanilla caramel tea with burnt brown sugar cinnamon was perfectly crafted. A nod to their limeade with a salty touch and fresh lime pulp. Yum!
My husband also noticed the Riv artwork and thought it said “Rio” (River in Spanish), which adds a nice layer to the name either way you see it. It’s well worth the stop or the drive if you’re in the area. We can’t wait to come back and bringing our biscuit lover family to enjoy.
Food- we ordered one of the biscuit sandwiches on the menu with bacon on the side, and I have to say that it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were so good, the biscuit was crumbly but held everything together really well at the same time. The iced mocha was really nice too.
Atmosphere – given that this place used to be a church, I love that they’ve preserved as much as they can. The porch outside also looks like a really nice spot to work.
The menu offers familiar dishes with a twist: a surprisingly good bagel & lox, made like a dainty sandwich, huevos with black beans, a stacked breakfast burrito, an egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich on choice of breads (French bread for me), lunchtime sammies, berry smoothies and intoxicating coffee, and more. Make it here before noon and you get Benedict.
Loved the stained glass windows up front, white everywhere, and pews for seats. They keep it cold during the summer. Might wanna bring a jacket.
I also appreciate that they responded to inquiries on Instagram right away. Yes, they serve breakfast until 2 pm closing, except the bennies.
