The Ridge Marketplace is a favorite destination in the Texas Hill Country. Located just 5 minutes from James Avery world headquarters, it’s a must-see & do! Locals return time and time again for great food, great people, and great views. Weekly specials, live music, beer and wine, patio dining, movies on the lawn, beautiful gardens, a made-from scratch bakery, and gift shop make this a one-stop Hill Country destination.

Nice little spot. Food was very good. Had the breakfast chicken fried steak and eggs. Was delicious. The garden / nursery was where we spent alot of money. Couldn’t pass up all the nice plants they had. The chicken coup was pretty cool. Like a hamster enclosure, just alot bigger.
Highly recommend

Have lived in Fredericksburg 33 years and have passed this place several times, read about it in some local advertising but, never have we stopped here, until last Sunday. OMG , why hadn’t we stopped sooner ? Beautiful place, inside and out. Tons to look at. Great for families and pet friendly. Had an amazing breakfast. Grandson had French toast, wife had an omelet(egg-cellent), and I had the Texas breakfast(dinner sized pork chop came with- wow )! Wonderful selection of bakery items also. Unique plants in their garden section . Unique gifts in their gift shop. One and only complaint, slow service. Seems to be a thing nowadays. Maybe the covid slowed waiters/waitresses down and they haven’t found their tempo yet. Our family WILL return!

Visited an adorable garden center today in the Texas Hill Country —Gardens at the Ridge in Kerville. We went plant shopping and saw that it had a full service cafe and bakery on site open until 9pm, so we decided to stay for dinner. The food, service, and especially the desserts, were all fantastic during our visit. The location also features live music, an amphitheater, outdoor playground, gift shop, and chickens in a “hen den”. An unexpected gem that is worth the trip from San Antonio.

Fun shopping experience and excellent food! Half the chicken fried steak is plenty! LOL The garden areas are just wow! Everything is labeled. Play area for kids. Benches and swings and rocking chairs. Outdoor seating also on the porch for meals on nice weather days. Bakery and homemade ice cream. Beer and wine selections are extensive.

We enjoyed a Valentine’s Day special dinner. The staff was friendly and their bakery is .
Their special was a beef wellington, steak fries and asparagus with a dessert to follow. Pricing was far and the live music gave it a nice atmosphere.

This was a great place for lunch. Wife had a sandwich of some kind and really liked it. I had a veggie burger and it was good, the bun they used was good too. Daughter had chicken fingers and ate it up. Took a while to get our order but understanding as it was quite busy. Keep up the great service

Austin was our server! This guy knew how to do his job very well and provided us with the best service! The food was absolutely amazing! We had the Salisbury Steak with Red wine sauce, fried green tomatoes, apple glazed Brussels sprouts that were slightly fried and crispy.

We’re new to the area as winter Texans. Our first experience at the Ridge was a pleasant experience. It is laid out nicely with an area of plants for purchase, a play area for kids, an amphitheater, a restaurant, a bakery, and a gift shop. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food and service was very good. We will be back for more visits!
