Really enjoyed the actual atmosphere. All the bartenders but one had great personalities and service. There was a female bartending last night at a makeshift bar in the back area who had a bad attitude both times we went to her area. Felt very off for a place with such a good vibe. We just chose to use the other bar after that. Overall though great first time experience.

Definitely not a fan of this place.Do not recommend it unless you liked to drink a lot. I don’t go to bars felt very uncomfortable with me and my spouse look like a nice place on the outside. But once you go in, you smell nothing. But alcohol we don’t drink she felt uncomfortable even for me to go to the bathroom to sit by herself.
Because there was a lot of people at the bar drinking. They gave her a sweet tea. When she asked for Coke, I got a lemonade. It cost $5.
So we drink that and left.
So I do not recommend it’s only bar food fried food.

The night started a bit bad with someone taking our reserved table. But the service was great, and the food was very good solid 4 stars. What me and my wife were really impressed with was the music the live music was great and definitely ups this place to a 5 stars.

My husband and I had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Rex Theatre! It turned out phenomenally. The Rex Manager, Kiera, was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, and worked so well with all the different vendors. The space is industrial, but my wedding felt very modern and elegant after all the decor. It was a great space with a good amount of flexibility. Being able to have all the wedding events in one location made everything so much easier.

Old Bay Chicken Wings at The Rex: The Chuck Norris of Appetizers
If Chuck Norris had a culinary alter ego, it would be Rex’s Old Bay Chicken Wings. These wings are not just a dish; they’re a statement. With a flavor profile so bold, it could roundhouse kick blandness right out of the kitchen!
First off, the seasoning—their blend of Old Bay packs a punch that even Chuck Norris would respect. It’s like the spice blend decided to take a karate class and now it’s throwing high kicks of flavor with every bite. The wings are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—much like Chuck himself: tough on the outside, but with a heart of gold.
Dipping them in sauce? Please. Chuck Norris doesn’t dip; the sauce comes to him. You’ll want to savor these wings straight up, because anything less would be a disservice to their badassery. However, don’t fret: you have a choice of ranch, blue cheese, or both.
In conclusion, these Old Bay Chicken Wings are a culinary masterpiece that could probably win a fight against any other appetizer in the room. If you’re looking for a wing experience that’s as legendary as Chuck Norris, look no further than The Rex. Just remember: when you eat them, you’re not just enjoying a snack; you’re channeling the spirit of the ultimate action hero.

It’s a pub located in the historical district of Leonardtown. There’s a full bar and multiple TV’s with sports playing. They keep it very dark inside. Seems like it thrives for the night life scene. The waitress was very nice and helpful. The food was a let down. The pizza had a cheese whiz sauce. Reminded me when I was a kid and would pillage the pantry for ingredients to make something. Also, the soup tasted like it came out of a can. I don’t like writing bad reviews, but the food isn’t deserving; not for that price.

Can be kinda a gritty place on the weekend at night, but I have lots of good memories here. I’ve been here mostly for the bar which is decent rather than food. For the one time I got the food it is overpriced, but tasty. Got 2 steak birria tacos for $15. They were good, but there is pretty much no taco I would knowingly pay more than $5 for each. $7.50 per taco is ridiculous. Even in DC that would be a crazy price. Alternatively the wings are a very good price on Wednesday. Overall, still recommend the place highly for the bar/dancing experience

Went Friday around noon for lunch. Not very busy. They have outside seating but chose to sit at bar. Ordered the chicken soft taco Birria with a side salad. Served in about 15 minutes after order. Plate presentation was nice and dipping sauce was mild heat. Overall nice lunch. Tea was served in a Mason jar. Overall good food and small town atmosphere. Short walk/drive to leanordtown wharf if you want to relax near the Potomac as your food settles.

went for an event and paid to be there, went to the car to check on it because we had a notification someone was trying to get into it, came back and they wouldn’t let us back in because it was “over capacity”. if we paid to be there, you can’t not let us in because of a mistake YOU made by allowing too many people in. don’t punish a paying customer because of your incompetence. not going back.
