We just went for a snack and had soup and desert. Food and atmosphere were great, lots of amazing food on the menu. While we we sat immediately, service was slow, soup and desert took us and hour and ten minutes at 2pm on a Saturday. Won’t let that stop us from trying some more of the menu.

What a find in a historic part of Nashville. The food is sensational to say the least. Friendly service by the hostess and a beautiful setting to enjoy the best there is in food with a view of the whiskey Distillery.

When you walk into the distillery it has an open floor plan and well decorated. Once we were seated we ordered some appetizers and drinks. The appetizers were different. It was grits with mushrooms and I believe marsala sauce. It was pretty good. Everyone in my party got burgers and they seemed to enjoy them. I got the schnitzel. It was big and the first couple bites were good but overall it lacks flavor. There was little to no seasoning and the gravy cover a small amount of the schnitzel. The potatoes in duck fat were the highlight of the meal but not enough to make me want to return for another meal.

I’m passing through Nashville for the weekend. Looking for local food, whiskey, and history. Nelson’s GreenBrier Restaurant and Distillery has all three combined. The food is very good. I had the steak frites. Mouth watering, buttery, and tender. I also had a smoked old fashion. Classic old fashion, balance of spirit and sweetness. We were able to luck into a tour of the distillery. Our tour guide, Shawn, was easy to listen to and very informative. It is very interesting to hear the history of the name, product, and revitalization of the process. The sampling of the product at the end is also very informative and tasteful.

I recently visited here for brunch and opted for the Distillery Plate, which offered a solid mix of flavors. The bacon stood out with its smoky profile and a perfect balance of meat and fat—crisp and delicious. The duck fries were a highlight, bringing a rich and unique twist to the plate. The sausage links, while decent, didn’t quite match the rest; they were fine but lacked that wow factor. The sourdough bread slices were tasty with a nice tang, though I found them a bit small for the hearty portions of the dish.
I ordered two eggs over easy, but the execution was inconsistent—one was spot-on, while the other was over-hard, which was a letdown. On the bright side, the Bloody Mary was a revelation. Made with their whiskey, it was a bold and creative take I’d never have thought to try myself—easily one of the best I’ve had.
Overall, it was a satisfying brunch with some standout moments and a couple of minor missteps. I’d come back for that Bloody Mary though.

The food was SO good and the service was even better! Kristin took great care of us and offered her expert opinion on all of the questions we had. The Carrot cake drink was excellent and the Marci gras holiday was great too!
Kristin even helped get us into an early tour so we wouldn’t have to wait as long after lunch. All around excellent experience.

We ate here after our tour for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was not packed, but you can certainly get a reservation to make sure if coming for a specific weekend. We got a large amount of food and it is pretty good food!
I had the tacos and it’s a real good size for a lunch. My friends got the burger and steak grilled cheese and they all really liked it, too. There were a couple drinks that look nice and taste good. We got some orders of the Pink Pony Club drink, very refreshing. The aesthetic inside is great, too, fitting for either a bachelor party of a bachelorette party. Our server was also really cool and helpful for picking out some spots to go in town afterwards.

The food was delicious. We had one cask series flight and the flagship flight with out meals. They both were delicious. The burger was fantastic and messy (aka perfect). The duck fat fries were wonderful. The avocado toast was also perfect with a side of bacon and some fruit. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is also just beautiful!

Came here for brunch and was not disappointed. The eggs bennidict are fabulous and I could have eaten my own body weight in the duck fat potatoes. Also got the mushroom grits and the milkshake, 10/10 would recommend both. If im ever back in Nashville I will definitely eat here again. Our server Taylor was also amazing
