Relatively new restaurant, very good service, servers were all very amicable and happy. They seemed to like where they were working. The food was delicious and the presentation was very good. The bathrooms were clean and the ambiance was very pleasant. I love the decor and details around the restaurant. The area is spacious and you don’t feel like you are eating with the table next to you. There is a lot of parking spaces, free to park and the area is very comfortable and safe.

This place is a hidden gem that I highly recommend trying. Unless you live in the Chinoe area of Lexington, you have probably never even heard of El Azteca Mexican Grill, but trust me it is well worth trying out. This restaurant is stunningly beautiful and exceptionally clean (check out the pictures that I posted with this review). The family that runs it is friendly and you can tell that they take pride in their business. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were delicious. My son had a chicken burrito meal covered in their cheese dip and he loved it. The owner stopped by twice and checked on us and our server never let our drinks run out. Take a turn off the beaten path and try one of Lexington’s best Mexican restaurants. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

This was our first visit to El Azteca. We had guacamole with our chips. It was chunky and delicious. My husband had the Burrito California. He loved it, full of steak and vegetables with no rice. He hates rice as a filler in burritos. I had Chile Colorado. The menu said spicy chunks of pork. It was so flavorful and delicious but dear Lord, the spicy I could only eat 3 pieces and I paid dearly for 2 days. We also tried a Cheese Enchilada with both available sauces. Outstanding enchilada! We will definitely be back once my digestive system has recovered from the heat…

Excellent service and food came out fast. Tables are spaced wide so with this Covid/Flu season was nice.

Had our first experience here on a Saturday evening. Was greeted and seated promptly by a friendly host. Our waitress wasn’t the happiest person but effective. The menu is large which can be a bad thing in terms of freshness but we didn’t have issues in that department. The salsa was a bit disappointing. It was almost too smooth, like tomato sauce, we had to add salt to make it eatable. I’d recommend ordering pico to mix in. We ordered queso too which was pretty standard like you’ll find at any Mexican restaurant. The entrees came out quickly and were tasty, though they were skimp on the fish. All in all..We will come back.

Real nice covered, outside patio space with bar. Very friendly staff and attentive. I had shrimp fajitas and husband chicken burritos, enjoyed very much. Did not try margaritas, good cold draft beer. Will return for sure.

Absolute Bottom of the barrel mexican food. The queso was so watered down it was basically a drink. Food was edible but just barely. Happy hour prices were just a suggestion, apparently, because we paid full price for our margaritas with no little or no tequila.

When it opened it was amazing. It seems like they’re watering the cheese in the food and salsa down now. I hate that cause it’s so close and we loved eating here and hanging out on weekend nights. The fajita nachos are good tho!
