The star of the show was the experience a very attentive staff all around. From the beginning, they opened the front door, waiter was well versed and the manager even stopped in to check in. The food changes regularly. I’ve been there and out 3 times and it was better than I remembered. The drinks are interring, and tasty. The tempura mushrooms were delicious and loved tempura and sauces. The tuna hamachi was good but thought the fish could
Have been thinner and more plentiful. The gnocchi was okay, didn’t care for the stringent. B it probably a personal preference. Also tried the chicken sandwich was okay, very large and difficult to eat. Overall a nice date spot.

You guys – this is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots. Although on the higher-end price-wise, everything…EVERYTHING…is worth it.

The service is fantastic. Everyone there is attentive, super pleasant, and a joy to be around. They all have an impeccable understanding of the menu, drinks, and aren’t afraid to help steer you in a direction if you need it.

The drinks are delicious – from the wine selections to cocktails – and it’s always hard to choose what to get.

And the food? ::drool:: If it’s hard to choose what drinks to order, it’s nearly impossible to pick. We have legitimately loved everything we’ve ordered over the last 3 or 4 dining experiences here.

Their outdoor patio is a must if there’s any even semi-decent weather.

Excited to come back!

How can you not adore this place? Luxury, a complete focus on the patrons, superb food, small inviting space, plenty of parking, attentive staff, I could go on and on. We started with the lamb crepinettes which are delightful (very tasty light bites). Then choose 3 entrees for our birthday celebration: the gamebird sausage onion risotto, the sea bass and the walleye. We each had bites of all the dishes and were wowed equally by the varied flavors, sauces and side dishes. Scrumptious. For dessert we shared the banana sunchoke cream pie and the chocolate pound cake.
It was a fabulous birthday extravagance! Summer and Julian went out of their way to make our experience memorable. The manager stopped by every table to make sure everyone was happy. We felt pampered, appreciated and very happily well fed!
This is a wonderful place to experience if you understand that great quality food takes time to prepare and serve.

Easily a top five KC dining experience for us! We went here for Valentine’s Day* and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

To start, we were welcomed at the door and offered to check our coats when checking in. Our service was extremely professional throughout and their timing was on point. It felt like we were never left waiting for the next course.

The food was OUTSTANDING. Great presentation and flavor. I was blown away by the combination of flavors and especially the white asparagus and sunchoke soup, which was possibly the best soup I’ve ever had.

A huge thank you to the chef and all staff at 1900 for a wonderful experience.

*This being their Valentine’s dinner, I cannot speak to how similar it is to their typical dinner service, but I’m definitely confident they are great anytime!

Went here with a couple friends and we absolutely loved it. Service and food were both exceptional. The hostesses were lovely and energetic; the servers were happy to provide suggestions and us narrow the menu down while we struggled to make decisions.

Our two favorite dishes were the Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Gamebird Sausage Risotto. The Baked Alaska dessert is also phenomenal – the 1900 is worth a revisit for this alone.

Wow! I was brought here by a friend and completely blown away by how incredible this restaurant is. The staff was super friendly and attentive, kept our glasses full, and was always nearby if we needed something.

All of the food we had was incredible! I don’t think you could order something bad on this menu. The cedar strip steak was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I highly recommend it. Also the Ibis grilled bread.

My husband and I went here to celebrate closing on our new home. We recently moved from the NYC area and have been looking for our new favorite spots. To start: The food is FANTASTIC. It holds its own against the best restaurants. Service was good. But the atmosphere was a bit clinical for our taste (bright lighting and a bit hotel lobby). That being said, would absolutely recommend for the food.

First time experience, I will definitely be back. I had the rabbit pot pie with a nice Irish red ale. Others in the group were very happy with the gnocchi, rack of lamb, and braised short ribs. We shared an excellent bottle of Italian wine. Great atmosphere and knowledgeable servers made for a very enjoyable evening!

Food was great. And the service really stood out. I went with two colleagues and the waiter precisely divided our bills like no one in the past.

If I had to pick just one restaurant in KC, this would be the place. It’s a remarkably even balance of elements: expertly-prepared food, clever cocktails, comfortable surroundings and excellent hospitality.

The menu changes regularly, so I don’t have any specific dishes to recommend. For the appetizer course I’ve had soups, salads and other options without ever making a bad choice. Likewise the pastas, entrees and desserts have been uniformly delicious.

Just three days before I wrote this review, 1900 was named as a semifinalist for a Beard Award for hospitality. They deserve the prize. Servers are polite and efficient, and they know their regular customers by name.
