Food: Typical white washed tacos, not a fan but I’ll eat em and I did. Tacos were cold, served without salsa, just some drizzle of something on the top. Beans and rice, lifeless without seasoning. Considering where we are, a typical diner in Waynesville NC, it’s not unexpected although there are gems to be found in the area. I could see the how these tacos could pass for the area. Not hating on them, just not my kind.
Price: Pretty decent, $3 for tacos and they’re “normal” size, not street size.
Service: Great. We were checked up on and refilled multiple times.
Atmosphere: Cozy. Diner.
Would recommend, though I personally wouldn’t be back for the tacos.
Man. Whomever the chef is that designed the menu, is a genius. The flavors in everything we had absolutely complimented each other and didn’t cancel one another out, sometimes when you get really creative in mixing flavors regardless if it’s wet or dry, sometimes it is bland because they don’t work together but maaan NOT here!
First and foremost so I can get this out of the way, the only reason this is not 5 stars across the board is because when we walked in the smell of seafood is very strong and if you don’t/can’t eat seafood like me, it’s a bit abrasive/nauseating. When the food got in front of us, I just indulged in that as it smelled as good as it tasted.
We started with the short rib egg rolls. I’d legit order two of these and call it dinner too if I’m being honest. It had chow chow, greens, pimento cheese, a blueberry BBQ drizzle and Alabama white for dipping!
I ended up with the Maple Bourbon Hot Chicken & Waffle Sandwich and fries, something as simple as French fries were literally cooked to perfection in not just texture, but of course flavor so the sandwich was amazing!
My wife got the Red/White/Blue burger and rosemary fries and that was a special being it’s Memorial Day weekend, and she absolutely loved it.
Our server was Connor and he was super polite, knowledgeable on anything we asked and nice to chat with too.

We were a party of 5 with three ordering the french dip, seafood platter and a burger. The three that order the french dip sandwich loved it.I had the seafood combo which I enjoyed but wish I had just gotten the shrimp meal the combo was too much food for lunch. 😉 My husband also enjoyed his burger.
If you are in the area and want to try something outside the “downtown” area, this has plenty of parking, great atmosphere, and great food. It appears to have a lunch and dinner menu, so we only experienced the lunch menu. I would eat here again.
