This was our first time eating here and so glad we tried it! The Tokyo Mojito was delicious and refreshing. The edamame was tasty, as was the kimchi mushrooms. My husband got the crab ramen. The broth was really good and the crab meat was on point. I got the dry aged rib eye ramen and it was so flavorful. Added the chili oil to it for a kick. Will definitely return.

First time here and LOVED it!! BEST edamame we’ve ever had: the perfect amount of spice. We shared the Thai chicken bag buns and the chicken ramen. Very delicious! Beautiful atmosphere and the best service from Kimbo! We will definitely be back

Wow, this ramen is the real deal. I started with some soft and savory bao buns and then finished with the classic Tonkotsu ramen. Phenomenal. I also had the best time with the bartender, Brooke. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about what the Red Door is bringing to Aiken and was just a delight to be around. I had the best time – all high praises to the chef and the service. Price is worth it.

Do I have a treat for you!

If you live in or choose to visit Aiken, South Carolina, and LOVE Asian food, you must partake of The Red Door in downtown.

I ordered a Fizzy Lifting Drink cocktail—with in-store-made kombucha—and the vegan miso.

And it was the TOPS!

If you’ve been to Japan or San Francisco and ordered ramen, this meets head on that culinary experience. The broth was savory and nourishing, and each component—corn, tofu, cabbage, bok choy and more—were delicious!

The menu has so much to offer, especially if you’re a meat eater. Of course, w/ plenty of veggie options.

1,000% recommend! ❤️

Good & way more authentic than the ramen at Phoramenal in downtown Augusta & tastes easy better! I tried the pork, but next time I’m getting the chicken to try it out too! The shrimp boa bind are tasty too! The staff was friendly and kind and knowledgeable on the food

Update: visited this place again. Was a great experience, and our wonderful bartender remembered us from our last visit and made sure we had a great time. The Japanese old fashioned is a great twist on a classic, and the Thai chicken bao buns were bright and zesty.

We’ve been a few times to red door. First few visits were opening week and a few months after. The food was good, experimental, and fun. Good crowd each time. Our most recent visit was a lot different. It was Friday night a little after 8, and we had the whole place to ourselves, except for a couple sitting outside. Very quiet. We sat at the bar and the bartender was nice and prompt. The food was good, but a little too sweet. My wife didn’t finish her ramen because of that. At one point, one of the workers in the kitchen came out holding his head, asking the bartender for Tylenol. He then quietly shuffled back to the kitchen, still holding his head. This moment really stuck out for me when paired with the quiet stillness of the place. We really enjoyed this place when they first opened, and we hope they can get back to the vibe they had!

Edit: double checked their hours and we came in during the last hour they were open, which could explain things quieting down a bit? 8 PM on a Friday isn’t very nightbird though.

Hard core ramon. Authentic and very good. If you like a fun spin on ramon and associated dishes, this is your place.

Fun food item was the edamame which was served cold and was marinated in a salty brine. Very good with a touch of kick.
