Amazing!! This pizza was so good! I was able to order a quick slice to enjoy right after my coffee at the Congregation and they brought it over to me! 5 star service and 5 star flavor!

If you live here or are visiting you need to check this place out. You’ll love how good this is! Cheesy and the pepperoni was perfect. I am very impressed.

I tried the Rectory for the first time last night! I have always loved the nearby Congregation for coffee so this restaurant is an excellent addition to the area. Our service was top notch and very attentive! It was weirdly super warm for a November day so we ended up sitting on the patio and they have a lovely heated patio space for dining in. We also loved the food! My guest and I split a bottle of wine, salad, pizza and dessert and everything was fantastic. We especially loved the salad we had. We will both be back for sure!

Such a great addition to the neighborhood. The pizza is excellent, the wine and drink selection is thoughtfully curated, and the service couldn’t be better. You can tell a lot of care went into every detail. We’ll definitely be back often.

I knew from the minute we walked up that this was going to have some of the best pizza. We ended up with the pepperoni pizza which was delicious and cheesy. I have no idea why the photos don’t look anything like how the pizza taste. The crust was a higher end dough that baked perfectly. This is a new favorite!
You can eat on the covered patio or inside.

You might miss this place since it sits just behind the Congregation’s outdoor area, adjacent to the building. There was also a bar truck blocking it some, so unless you are on Atkinson you may not be able to see it.

They just opened last weekend, we were told. Seating is only outside currently.

The pizza was really good, the crust was light with a chew to it. I didn’t care for Caesar salad as much because the lemon was a bit overpowering for me. He liked it though. We got a large build your own pizza ($13) with beef pepperoni (+$3) and bacon (+$5).

They don’t have most of your typical pizza toppings either.

I really wanted to love this place because the food itself was actually very good. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience.

My family drove an hour to get there to break our fast for Ramadan, which is the only reason we stayed despite everything. We were really looking forward to the experience. We politely asked if we could substitute a vegetable in place of meat on one of the menu items. We were told that was not possible and that we could only build our own pizza instead, which obviously makes it more expensive. We were not asking for anything complicated, just a simple swap. Being told flat out no without any willingness to accommodate was disappointing.

What made it worse was the attitude that followed. Our server, Damia, who said she was the supervisor, became noticeably sarcastic after that interaction. It made the rest of the meal uncomfortable and unnecessarily tense.

On top of that, it was extremely cold inside. The air was blowing directly on us and no one addressed it. Another waitress later told us we could adjust the vents ourselves so the air was not directly on us, which was far more helpful than anything Damia offered.

Good food, but hospitality matters, especially when families are gathering for something meaningful. After driving an hour, we expected a much better experience. Sadly, the service overshadowed what could have been a great experience.

Got lunch on a weekday afternoon. Not too busy. Greeted and Seated immediately. Got a beer and a sprite. Food came out quickly. We got the chopped salad. It was extremely average, would not order that again. Ordered a pepperoni jalapeño large pizza, A large feeds two to three people but more like two. Bar style, thick but thin crust with a great crunch. Highly recommend. Very intimate indoor space, about 6 tables with some counter top seating, not a spot for big groups in the winter But during the warmer months there’s picnic tables on their deck and loads of grass space for seating. There are lots of events at this location during the summer, outdoor markets and live music. It’s a really unique space in an old house with large lawn space. The staff was really friendly and polite and attentive. Price was reasonable too. All in all, food, service and atmosphere are worth your visit.

Stopped here the other day for a quick lunch and it was honestly, one of the best decisions we did! Hands down some of the top 5 best pizza we’ve ever had, & not just in Detroit. The atmosphere and service matched just as well & we cannot wait to go back to try the other pizzas.

For those wondering, we got the Sunday Sugo pizza which had red sauce, smoked meatballs, ricotta, mozz, and basil.

Stumbled on this place while traveling for work and getting coffee next door. The staff are friendly as can be. The pizza is absolute fire. Borderline New York stile (my favorite). Ordered a slice of the special, it was fantastic.
