Stopped in for lunch with a couple of friends and had a great experience. The vibe at The Raven’s Nest is modern, clean, and welcoming. The American food is well done. I had the shepherd’s pie, which was excellent and flavorful. A solid spot in Walpole and definitely worth coming back to.

Usually have a good experience at ravens. Decided to try some of the new specials, the corn chowder and the cornbread. One person got a cup $8.95, the other a bowl for $10.95. The notable part is the $2 difference. And both sizes came in the same cup…. So if your expecting a bigger size, there is no difference, go with the cheaper one. And the cornbread…$13, for those small slices and not very good. Cackey, raw tasting. Other restaurants have a better size, taste, and priced cornbread. Also ordered the wings. 2 flats, 7 drumsticks. Really? And wilted lettuce for some reason in there as well. This all cost about $60… Disappointing honestly.

Honestly! I wasn’t expecting the food to be so good! This place can definitely compete with five star restaurants as far as the quality of food they provide! My husband and I would just look for a place to just grab a bite and chat on a Sunday night last week and this place is definitely a gem! A lot of the local restaurants shut down their kitchens early but if you’re looking for a nice aesthetic with some good food come check out the small but mighty spot. The pasta was amazing I highly recommend it!!!

We normally come in to grab food because we love the appetizers. I was a little disappointed in the nachos. It says the come with guacamole too and there wasn’t. Just guess we have to come in, no take out again

Great pub with fantastic service! We met up with some friends/colleagues before Christmas. It was newly remodeled and decorated for the holidays. Our waitress couldn’t have been nicer, and our food came promptly.

Over the years, we’ve gone to Raven’s Nest and enjoyed their food. Even when issues came up in the past, they were promptly addressed, and we left feeling heard as customers.
Now to what drove us to leave this one-star review: We ordered dinner takeout from the restaurant yesterday. The person who took the order assured me the food would be ready at the stated time. It wasn’t — we ended up waiting 40 minutes. Later, we discovered that our large bag of food had been sitting in the kitchen getting cold the entire time. Even the host, despite repeatedly checking with the kitchen, didn’t realize the order was already prepared.
We had also given specific instructions for one of the salads due to food allergies. The person taking the order assured us that the item would be substituted with something safe, but the dish arrived containing exactly what we asked them to leave out — a serious concern given the allergy.
We called the restaurant right away and were told, “The manager is off today; leave your contact info and she’ll call you tomorrow.” That call never came.
Raven’s Nest used to be one of our local favorites. Unfortunately, both the food quality and service have declined in recent years. We do not recommend this place.

The new menu is absolutely atrocious. I have been an avid patron of the Ravens nest and am so utterly disappointed in the quality that is now being passed along as sufficient. Truly devastating to see such a local gem be destroyed by management that is never there. So upsetting. Will never return.

The Ravens Nest is a very well known and similarly adored spot by the locals. ‘The nest’ is owned by the Mcaulliff family of 5. It wouldn’t be surprising to me if you met the owner or a member of his family when you visit, as he is incredibly hands-on at his places of business (‘Tessie’s’ just two doors down is also a hidden gem owned by the same family). They have built an incredibly notable staff, environment, and culinary experience. Tonight I was craving one of their staple, and in my opinion, most comforting meals. I got to the bar at about 5:45 (on a Sunday); Though they were steady-busy from when I arrived onward, the environment never seemed overwhelming and is somehow always near spotless. With a back deck, indoor dining area/bar with large open windows, and a large *well mannered dog friendly* patio area out front to choose from, you could essentially choose your mood for the night. I started out by ordering a Mango beer on draught off their tap list from bartender Jess… (and then a few more later), I then ordered the 4 cheese tortellini with shrimp added. Jess was fantastic on the bar making sure myself and the other people around me had waters, rounds, and food as needed (3 different locals struck up conversation with me during my visit and had only good things to say about this place). The beer was a unique, delicious one from CA and the tortellini was incredible as always. This place is validly beloved by the younger and older crowds. A sneaky good menu, staff, and environment makes for a 5 star experience (and review).

I went here to watch some football on Sunday. I had a great time! I sat at the bar and calie was so nice! For as busy as it was – she made sure we were attended to! I would come back on Sunday and request Calie! I highly recommend!
