Excellent experience… Food was so good after our hike up to the manjeau lookout. I had the elk tenderloins and they were stellar. My son had the salmon and it was also very good. Had a cup of chicken noodle green ️ soup and it was perfect. Rick our host did a fantastic job. It was my son’s birthday and they hooked us up with in House made cheesecake on the house. It wasn’t overly sweet so them big fat Texans probably won’t like!

Came here for a quick bite to eat before we hit to road home. I’m so glad we did! The food was delicious! Probably the best Cesar salad I’ve ever had. Breanna was our waitress. She was great. Very kind and attentive. We will definitely be back on our next visit. Food was affordable as well!

We came for dinner and the restaurant was beautiful. Very romantic setting and the tables had fresh flowers. My husband got the prime rib and I got the chicken Alfredo and both dishes were excellent. We also ordered the onion ring appetizer and it was perfectly crispy and cut thin so they were easy to eat. I highly recommend that dish.

I wasn’t impressed with this restaurant. The environment makes it feel like a fancy place, but the food was extremely underwhelming. It was all pretty bland and I kept thinking about hospital food. I got a nice gin martini which was really pretty though. It was weird because they were playing rap country music? The vibes just weren’t there and we ended up skipping dessert again going somewhere else. The waitress was excellent though.

Absolutely delicious food. We came to Ruidoso for a vacation from El Paso and we eat out 2-3 times per day each time in a different place. This is the only place which made us absolutely happy about everything: food, service, prices. Jonathan was very polite, professional and efficient. We had Brussel sprouts, crab cake, pasta and a burger. Everything was mouthwatering. If you are in Ruidoso- that’s the best place to eat out.

This place is the best kept secret in Ruidoso. I’m embarrassed to admit we have been coming to Ruidoso on extended vacations for over 5 yrs and we never dined here.
Reason being the exterior does not mirror the hidden “gem” inside (we actually imagined it would look like a Denny’s).
Oh we’re we so wrong. Sumptuous leather wing back chairs in the bar area. And, comfortable chairs in the dining area. Second, the location is tricky and can be a bit hazardous to turn into.
However, what lies inside is so worth the trouble.
The waitstaff are warm and efficient. Menu and drink selections surprisingly expansive. Our food and drinks was flawless. ( Spouse ordered prime rib and AB sours while son and I had the catfish and White Russians). Last, came the biggest surprise. Our bill was less than two-thirds the total we spend at our GOAT Wyndall’s @ The Inn! Yay! Definitely a win-win coming here.
PS It’s quite here..you can actually have dinner conversation.

We sat at the bar and didn’t have to wait too long for the waitress or the bartender. Both were increadibly friendly. We ordered a few drinks, the Death by Chocolate Martini was amazing. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was probably one of the best that I’ve had. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Seven of us went on 1/31 and showed up a few hours before closing. The hostess kept talking about “resos” and was clearly irritated we decided to drop by without a reso. She annoyedly told us it’d be a 45 minute wait. The place was about half empty. A little later she told someone else in our group it’d be an hour and fifteen minutes, even though people had left. She must’ve had a terrible day because she had a terrible day.
Rick, however, was FANTASTIC as our server! Super polite, friendly, funny, attentive, made sure waters filled all the time.
Food was great. Cooked to order and came out timely. Good flavor.

The Ranchers Steak and Seafood in Ruidoso, New Mexico exceeded all expectations.
The food was absolutely excellent. I highly recommend the lobster pasta—it was rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The sourdough bread deserves special mention as well; it was fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. The wine selection was impressive!
A huge shoutout to the manager, Brianna, who was fantastic. She was professional, attentive, and made sure everything was flawless from start to finish. Her presence truly elevated the experience.
If you’re dining in Ruidoso, The Ranchers Steak and Seafood is an absolute must. Exceptional food, excellent service, and a memorable atmosphere—I can’t recommend it highly enough.

When we arrived we were meet by the very rude hostess Breanna Immediately she responded with a snotty attitude as if we were an inconvenience. She said “ it’s a 45 minute wait” we said that was fine and she walked away. We sat around the area in the front. She comes back and a few minutes later and said it’s an hour and 15 minutes. We still said it was ok, but would not put our name down even though I asked her too. She kept saying they had a lot of “reservations “ every time she passed the area we were sitting she would look at us as if she wanted us to leave. It was very uncomfortable. Finally all of a sudden after about 20 minutes she said she was going to sit us down. We did have an amazing server “Rick” , he was so polite and kind and made up for the horrible experience we had with the hostess. As we were enjoying our meal, we noticed the restaurant got empty, apparently there were no “RESERVATIONS “ as Breanna kept saying. Thank you to RICK, but Breanna ( might be spelling her name wrong) she needs to learn how to treat people, or she needs to get a new job. Very rude person
