This restaurant is incredible. Very simple. We arrived late ( around 8pm) , 4 adults and 3 kids. Everybody hungry ! We were the only ones in the restaurant. So we started to be anxious about the food. And when the food arrived … Oh god.
The most delicious grilled cheese of my life. The bread and the cheese were absolutely amazing.
Tenders were excellent and onions rings too.
My husband and my friend ordered burgers: the best ones too.
If you are visiting Wisconsin and specifically around devil’s lake, you absolutely should eat there !!!
Our waiter was very friendly and funny.

Steps
Went for breakfast on Sunday morning and it was a great breakfast! Nice portion sizes and reasonably priced. We had loaded omelet, biscuits and gravy, and steak and eggs. Will definitely be going back.

Probably one of the best bars you can enjoy. Friendly staff, Linda was amazing! Great selection of booze. Pool table. TVs. Fold. Can’t ask for a better spot in Dane.

My first breakfast under the new ownership today. It was disappointing for a few reasons. Weekly special board showed 2 breakfast specials. When we asked the waitress about them she was mystified. The prices for breakfast were similar to other places, however portions were not. Their portion of hash browns was approximately 1/2 cup. Sausage patty (just one) was also quite small. Ordered over medium eggs, got over easy. The staffer who delivered the meals offered a redo, but when you’re with a group that isn’t practical. Hoping things get better because I’d love to see this business succeed.

Really wanted to like this place as I know it is under new ownership. Breakfast food has always been good, service is often slow. Today was awful though. Though friendly, it took 15 minutes to get acknowledged, then after 25 minutes, they told us it would be another 35-40 minutes. They were not super busy, so not sure what the problem was or why we weren’t told that when we ordered. We left and likely won’t return.
