A timeless Sun Valley classic. The Ram delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Service was warm, attentive, and professional without feeling rushed. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed evening or special occasion. Highly recommend the Idaho Rack of Lamb and the Japanese Wagyu Hot Rock, both were absolutely phenomenal.

Our meal at The Ram was hands down the best of our week-long trip around the state. The outdoor patio is absolutely lovely, and the live piano player was such a nice touch. Service was very quick and attentive. The daily special was Zwiebelrostbraten which was incredible—so well-seasoned and unbelievably tender meat. The Iberico Pork Schnitzel was also excellent.

Really ok experience…. Started off well, though took a long time for waiter to get to us, once he did it took a very long time to get drinks ordered, as well as waiter forgot to give us bread and then it didn’t arrive tell after the food got there. It took at least 45 minutes to be able to place food order. About half way through manager came over and said waiter was gone due to reasons beyond their control… very odd so he became our waiter. He took ever longer to do everything. The whole dinner was shy of 2 hours. The food was incredible and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend because of how much of a hot mess it was. Even in the end, our reciept was wrong and they had added food we hadn’t ordered and it took far too long than it needed to correct it. Kind of frustrating and there wasn’t much understanding about the whole experience. Was suppose to be an anniversary dinner and I wish I had chosen somewhere else.

Excellent spot, however- they could add one or two good ciders to their drink menu! Such an abundance of this artisan apple brew available, and Strongbow was their only option. This is such a great gluten free option for those seeking something refreshing and light, like a beer.

The food…well you couldn’t find a better beef tenderloin, truly fabulous!

Made reservations to have dinner at the Ram, and I’m glad we did. This was really the only time we spent at the resort, and the feel of the Ram definitely gave you glimpses into the history of the place. Staff was exceptional and had great information about the menu options. I got the special of the night (pork schnitzel with a cranberry relish, potatoes and an amazing pickled cabbage) while my wife had trout. Both dishes were expertly prepared and really delicious. Moreover, the portions were rather generous. There was a great ambiance with the piano music, views into the kitchen, and just the wonderful charm of the room. Yes, it isn’t cheap, but it is worth it to experience the Sun Valley Resort in all its Glory!

We had a really nice evening at The Ram. Great ambience and service. The chef and manager both stopped by our table to chat. We started with the Diver Scallops in a curry, cashew sauce with sliced apples- delish! So tender, wonderful flavor. I had the pork chop with a tasty chutney and hubby had the Filet – both cooked perfectly and so good (see pics). Highly recommend. Will definitely return.

The food is so good here, especially the fondue and the strawberry bun dessert (wow). Very good service. Their romaine and anchovy salad could use more anchovies, but overall, this is a great choice.
